Why we do?The mangrove tree is the foundation in a complex marine food chain, which has the beneficial effects like stabilization of sediment. However, mangrove's importance is being ignored by public globally and mangrove has been damaged seriously. The mangrove in Xiamen has been destroyed about 90% in the past 40 years. Therefore, it is high time that we called for public attention and take practical action to protect valuable mangrove.
