This has reference to oriline submission of proposals i list of beneficiaries for the year

2016-17 on National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and preparedness of the State Govemments

with regard to Aadhaar enrolment and seeding of Bank accounts with Aadhaar of scholarships

holders for Central Sector Scheme of Scholarship for College and University, administered by

the Department of Higher Education. The scheme is covered under the Direct Benefit 'l'ranstbr

(DBT) umbrella and the scholarship amount to students covered under the scheme is being

transferred into their bank accounts through Public Financial Management System (PFMS)

platform. For applying on the National Scholarship Portal, Aadhaar seeded.bank accounts ofscholarship holders are required.

Z. The last date for submission of proposals on NSP is 30th September. 2016. State

Education Board has not been providing weekly information regarding Aadhaar enrolment and

Aadhaar seeding ofbank account.

3. Provision for registration on NSP for a period of three months using Aadhaar

Enrolment ID (EID) in case of non-availability of Aadhaar number has been made' However,

the disbursement of scholarship will be made only after Aadhaar seeded bank account is

available.

4. I, therefore, request you to kindly expedite the process of (i) enrolment and issue ofAadhaar numbers to students by organising enrolment camps in institutions and (ii) the

seeding of bank accounts of the beneficiaries with Aadhaar numbers, is accomplished at the

earliest, in any case, before 15tn September, 2016.

5. A status report on Aadhaar number of beneficiaries and its seeding with bank accounts

is required to be provided to this Department on weekly basis in the enclosed format.
