5 Phase Program
Phase 1- 15 wks at school: General shipboard knowledge and safety training
Phase 2- 90 days at sea: 30 days in each shipboard department
Phase 3- 7 weeks at school: You choose your dept. Specific training in that department
Phase 4- 120 days at sea: In your department of choice. Employment as entry-level crew member
Phase 5- Completion of department specific training
