To address the growing demands of the geophysical industry for ever larger-channel-count surveys and greater layout

flexibility, Sercel has developed the SeaRay 428 designed for competitive redeployable 4-C seabed seismic acquisition.

Designed to support most of today’s OBC operations down to 500 meters, the SeaRay 428 has also been designed with a smaller and lighter cable option capable of the same operations in water depths of less than 100 meters, where smaller and shallower-draft vessels are commonly deployed.

The omni-directional, three-component Digital Sensor Unit (DSU) that is at the heart of the SeaRay 428 provides superior sensor coupling and vector fidelity, and is insensitive to any tilt of the sensor package on the sea floor.

With a proven hardware design and a system architecture that features built-in multi-route system power, data telemetry redundancy and continuous acquisition capabilities the SeaRay 428 provides unparalleled flexibility, efficiency, and reliability in the field.

3C Digital Accelerometer

High-channel-count and long-offset acquisitionThe SeaRay 428 is a high-channel-count system and supports up to 6000 4-C real time deployed in multiple lines. Its low power consumption and high data transmission rate allows for cable lengths of up to more than 35 kilometers.

Multi-component sensorThree orthogonally oriented, digital accelerometers and one hydrophone are integrated to form a single 4-C receiver. The omni-tilt MEMS (Micro Electro Mechanical System) sensor technology brings broad bandwidth, low distortion and extended dynamic range to seabed seismic acquisition.

It also performs all the requested computations before recording data onto tapes or disks. Taking advantage of its client/server architecture, Seabed Software allows secured remote access through Internet connections.

//eSQC-ProQuality control softwareeSQC-Pro is a powerful integrated tool for real-time QC of seismic data acquisition without interrupting production. Its client/server architecture allows real-time QC display on a remote standard PC through a secure Internet connection.

//SGASignal graphic analyzerSGA is the latest generation of Signal Graphic Analyzer QC Tool. Featuring a new user-friendly graphical interface and being able to work in real-time or standalone mode, SGA can be installed on any computer to perform detailed signals analysis.
