Prayer for Animals Fund

In 1996, Dr. Ward established a 501(3)(c) non-profit to raise money to help needy animals in our area. To

date, Prayer for Animals has helped local shelters, provided care for injured stray animals, provided spay/

neuter services to over 150 feral cats and dogs, and aided numerous families in distress.

Pet Food Recall UpdateRecent recalls by Nutro and Diamond’s Premium Edge pet foods have placed pet food recalls

back in the news. On Oct. 20, the FDA released an official list of all pet foods recalled since

2007. I encourage you to look on the list for brands that have have more than one (2007)

recall. Brands with frequent recalls (Nutro has had 2 in 2009) should be closely monitored. If

you have any questions, feel free to call the hospital.
