This year has been another busy year filled with new and treasured classes, new and established friends and new and precious memories.All members of our teaching and coordinating team have again produced wonderful results and created delightful experiences for members, friends and families. With over 55 classes each week, it is impossible to name everyone, however some of the outstanding exceptions are, in alphabetical order: - Art with Harry (Stanley) for the Taste of Italy art show in conjunction with local cafe, Piccola Baia - The Assistance Group, headed by President Christine Kilcran, for this year’s special lunches and events - Art with Teresa (Oils Class) for the large format mural “Little Bay Beach” in the South Hall - Margaret Warrington for her many modernistic works created especially for the Centre’s walls and foyer - Bridge volunteer, Clive Eaton for exceptional support with weekly bridge games and classes for beginners - Calligraphy tutor, Helen Warren for introducing The Centre to Southside Calligraphers and bringing their magnificent show here during September - The Candlewicking, Embroidery, Beading and Quilting classes for adorable hand knits and accessories donated to several hospitals for premature babies - Alison Crawford and the Choir for providing beautiful songs throughout the year to residents in nursing homes - The computer tutors, Peter, David, Chris and Myriam for invaluable assistance helping members find their “IT groove” - Robina Beard for her record breaking Tone and Tighten classes helping members gain strength and vigor and Tappers demonstrating how to “AGE with Purpose” at the UNSW convened seminar on 31 October - Yoga teachers Erika and Raj for outstanding classes reducing stiffness and pain in all who attend - The Walking for Pleasure team, led by Debbie Hankey and Kathy Leviton with inspiring new destinations drawing larger numbers than ever to the fortnightly walks all over Sydney and beyond. New Adventures, New Classes, New Formats Port Hacking River Cruise - Our first Fabulous trip for 2019 Friday 1 February Join us for a lovely cruise on the Port Hacking River aboard the Tom Thumb 111. The cruise leaves Gunnamatta Bay near Cronulla at 10.30 am and includes morning tea and a light lunch. Our bus will leave Little Bay at 9am and return by 3pm. Cost is $40 for the bus, cruise and catering on board. S E A S O N S G R E E T I N G S As we head into the End of Year closure period, The Management Committee and Staff send our warmest seasons greetings to all members,

friends and families. This year has been another busy year filled with new and treasured classes, new and established friends and new and precious memories.All

members of our teaching and coordinating team have again produced wonderful results and created delightful experiences for members, friends and families.

Port Hacking River Cruise - Our first Fabulous trip for 2019 Friday 1 February

Danielle has a Bachelor of Arts Music Theatre and advanced Pilates instructor certificates.

NEW DRAWING CLASS - THE FUNDAMENTALS WITH PAT MUNRO

10-12 ThursdaysAn 8 week program, $80 for 8 classes

This new class will cover the basics for anyone from absolute beginners to more advanced artists wanting to brush up their basics. This course covers line, tone, composition and perspective through a variety of media and techniques.

DRAWING WHAT YOU SEE WITH PAT MUNRO

1-3pm Thursdays - An 8 week program, $80 for 8 classes

This class continues work done during 2018 on developing drawing skills, knowledge and technique.

SINGALONG WITH MERV - NEW DAY AND TIMEMondays 10.-12 noon

FAREWELL - ANNE SAVILLEAnne is taking a break. She has provided balance and fitness classes at the Centre since 2013 giving many, many members the oppor-tunity of improving their strength and balance. Thank you Anne. Best wishes.

NEW, GLAMOROUS, GOLDEN DECKFather Christmas aka “Crown Lands” have given the Centre a beautiful new deck for Christmas. This lovely renovated space will be available for use in the New Year. Keep an eye on our news bulletins for special events planned there for early 2019.

A CHRISTMAS THANK YOUThank you to all who have donated a record number of Christmas treats for the EOY luncheon hamper baskets. It’s a Centre record. Great work everyone.
