Sec 1 Express Mathematics
ICT Lesson Outline14.1: Revision on area of triangles, rectangles, squares, circles.
Perimeter & Area of Parallelogram
14.2: Perimeter & Area of Trapezium
14.3: Perimeter & Area of Parallelogram
14.1: Perimeter of Rectangle
• The opposite sides of a rectangle are the same length. The perimeter equals 2 times the length (L) plus 2 times the width (W).
• Perimeter of a rectangle: P = 2(L + W)
W = Width
L = Length
Area of Rectangle
• Area of rectangle is calculated by multiplying the length (L) and the width of the rectangle (W).
W = Width
L = Length
Perimeter of Square
• To find the perimeter of a square, just add up all the lengths of the sides:

Area of Square
• Area of square is calculated the area of a square is calculated by multiplying the length of the base by the height.

Area of Triangles
• Area of triangle = ( base × height)

Area of Circles
• Area of circle = π where r is the radius of a circle.
