WelcomeEver since its inception, in August 1978 in Singapore, APASL (Asian Pacific Association for the Study of the Liver) never looks back but stick to its goal towards advancing the science and practice of Hepatology. Today it is one of the leading associations based on investigation and treatment of liver diseases in the world and the largest scientific body that upholds the standards and profession, research and creates improved treatment methods for millions of liver patients particularly in the entire Asia Pacific Region. APASL’s main objectives are to promote the latest scientific advancement and education of hepatology science, exchange of information and the development of consensus, encourage the practice of medicine in liver diseases and also coordinate scientific studies between various scientists and clinicians throughout the region.
We hold scientific educational symposia/ conferences developed by leading hepatologists periodically. Our events feature expert speakers presenting the finest data in the most happening topics of liver diseases with high-quality scientific-technical presentations, followed by varied supporting program. Each of our events intended to meet the growing demands of hepatology as a core medical specialty and offers participants the right platform to exchange research, discuss outcomes, and interact with colleagues, focused on liver diseases. Our members include all medical professionals dedicated to hepatology — its research, practice, and care. We cover the region from Manchuria in the North, to Australia in the South, to the Pacific Islands in the East and Iran in the West.
Our members are elected on their documented scientific publications. Mentoring, sharing of knowledge and dedication to professional growth and development are among the core values of APASL and its members.
It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to the 29th Annual Conference Asian Pacific for The Study of Liver (APASL) 2020 that will be held 4 - 8th March 2020 in Bali Nusa Dua Convention Center (BNDCC), Bali, Indonesia. The Conference program covering all aspects of hepatology, for that purpose this would be the perfect moment for all of us to join and share the experience, knowledge and also giving the benefits for the population in the Asian Pacific Region.

The APASL 2020 Research Commi�ee would like to invite you to submit your wri�en abstract, which will be considered either for oral or poster presentation.
OFFICIAL LANGUANGEAll presentations at The APASL Annual Meeting 2020 will be in English.
STRUCTURE OF ABSTRACTS
Abstracts should be comprised of the following elements, with each section entered separately:
1. Title The abstract title should be in initial capital/lower case, not all capitals. Title should be limited to 25 words.
2. Author details and Affiliation Author’s names should be supplied in the surname-first format and should be in initial capital/lower case and not all capitals. Email address should be supplied for all authors. All affiliations should contain the department, institution, city, and country.
3. Abstract TextThe body of abstract should be wri�en using the following headings: Introduction, Objectives, Methods (may include subheadings such as Subjects/Participants Intervention/s, Outcome measure, etc, if necessary), Results, and Conclusion. Use standard abbreviations (spell out in full at first mention, add abbreviations in parenthesis). Use numeras for number. Abstracts should be limited to maximum of 250 words. Only online format submission of abstracts will be accepted.
4. FormatUse abbreviations in parentheses a�er the full word the first time it appears. Please use only Times New Roman font. Font size should be 10. Abstract must be submi�ed in our website www.apasl2020.org

ELIGIBILITY AND RULES
Which abstracts are Eligible for Submission ?
- The Research Commi�ee will only accept original scientific material, which has not been published as an article or have been accepted for publication (including manuscripts) in printed or electronic formats upon the submission deadline. However, abstracts presented at local, regional, or national meetings may be submi�ed.- Case report is acceptable.- Abstracts may be selected for oral or poster presentation at APASL Annual Meeting 2020.- Abstract Submission Deadline on November, 25th 2019. - The Result will be announce on December, 25th 2019
LATE BREAKING ABSTRACTS
- Late-breaking abstracts submission should feature the latest science that will have an immediate impact upon researchers and practicioners. Late-breaking abstracts will be reviewed by Research Commi�ee.- The Late-breaking submission period is not an extension to the general submission period; rather, only abstracts that contain results not available at the general abstract submission deadline will be considered. Case studies, vigne�es, retrospective studies or revision to previously submi�ed abstracts will not be considered.- Late Breaking Abstract will be announce soon a�er abstract submission deadline.
ABSTRACT SELECTION
- All abstracts will undergo review by the Research Commi�ee.- All abstracts will be scored by peer review based on the scientific merit according to the categories.- The commi�ee will determine determine whether abstracts will be accepted as oral or poster presentations with consideration to be given to the author’s preference.
ABSTRACT WITHDRAWAL
- APASL Annual Meeting 2020 will withdraw an abstract upon wri�en request from the submi�ing author.- A�er 25th November 2019, APASL Annual Meeting 2020 cannot guarantee that a withdrawn abstract will be excluded from publication.- Requests to withdraw an abstract must contain the submi�ing author’s name,
- Abstract participants who have not registered until late deadline, will be withdrawn.- If the accepted abstract have not paid the registration fee until the conference date, the accepted status of abstract will be canceled.
COMMITMENT TO PRESENT
- Submission of an abstract constitutes a commitment to present at APASL Annual Meeting 2020. All presenters must register to a�end the meeting. - If the presenting author is NOT able to a�end, either the submi�ing or presenting author MUST contact [email protected] with the name of a co-author who present the paper at the meeting. Only authors listed on the abstracts at the time of submission are eligible to present an abstract.
PUBLICATION
Abstracts selected for oral and poster presentation at APASL Annual Meeting 2020 will be published in Hepatology International .
NOTIFICATION
- Presenting authors will be notified of the results of their abstracts via email.
- The results of the accepted abstracts will also be publish on the website. It is the responsibility of the presenting author to notify any co-authors of the decision.
- If the abstract has been uploaded and the participant has registered, but participant is unable to a�end, then the participant must inform to the commi�ee of The APASL 2020 via email [email protected]
- Participant with accepted abstract will only need to pay early bird registration fee.

CANCELLATION POLICY - RegistrationRequest for registration cancellation must be received in writing by The 29th Annual Conferences Asian Pasific Association for The Study of The Liver (APASL) 2020 Registration Secretariat by email [email protected], cc to [email protected] to or by whatsapp text to +62 821 2043 1114 / +62 812 1000 6021. Cancellations received before or on 31 December 2019 – an administrative fee of IDR 1.000.000 will be applied. Cancellations received a�er 31th December 2019 – NO REFUND.
Please note that registration refunds will be processed within 30 days a�er event, bank charges will be deducted from the refund.
Accomodation reservations will be made together in your registration form on our system. Please make your reservations early; bookings are on a first-come first-served basis and confirmation is subject to availability.
All room rates are inclusive of goverment tax, service charged and breakfast for 2 (two) persons. For reservations requests a�er the deadline date, the commi�ee may not be able to guarantee any available rooms. Room rates will be reserved only a�er receiving full payment.
Hotel check in time is 15.00 WIB and check out time is 12.00 WIB. Late checkout request will be subject to hotel availability, prior 18.00 WIB will be charged 50% from room rate. Late checkout a�er 18.00 WIB, 100% charge will be applied. informationGENERAL INFORMATIONIndonesia is distinctly tropical. The weather in Bali in September is usually hot and humid with temperatures ranging between 28 – 32 degrees Celsius and the relative humidity is about 88%. There is comparatively li�le difference between the day time and night time temperatures. All conference sessions will be held in air – conditioned venues.
All foreigners wishing to enter Indonesia must have a Passport valid for at least six (6) months from the date of arrival along with proof (tickets) of onward or return passage. Please contact the Indonesia Embassy/Consulate in your country before the Conference in order to check if you require any other immigration procedures to visit Indonesia. Free Tourist Visa Free visa has been given for tourists who are nationals of a total 169 countries who wish to travel to Indonesia. Tourist Visa Free Facilities are valid for 30 days and it is non-extendable or cannot be transferred into any other type of stay permit. This countries granted Visa Free Facilities according to Presidential Decree No. 21 of 2016.
Invitation le�er or other necessary document to obtain Indonesian visa will be provided by the Secretariat of APASL 2020 bali based on request to email [email protected]. However this le�er aims to assist participants for their travel to Indonesia and does not imply any commitment for the Organization Commi�ee to provide financial support. Please get in touch as early as possible with the APASL 2020 Secretariat if you need an invitation le�er.
An airport tax of IDR 150,000 is levied by airports on departing passengers on international flights and IDR 40,000 for those on domestic routes. Most airlines today incorporate airport tax into their total tickets cost on purchase. Do make sure that this is already included.
The electric current in use throughout Indonesia is 220 volt at 50 cycles. In hotels, you may found two sockets for 110 and 220 volt each; or a converter may be obtained through the housekeeping. Power Plug 220 V.
Taxis are available at the airport arrival area. Fare around IDR 250,000 or approximately USD 19. Make sure you take a cab from the official stand and NOT from someone offering taxi inside the terminal.
