What are the Parts of a Plant?

Plants have six main parts:
1. root
2. stem
3. leaf
4. flower
5. seed
6. fruit

1. Root…The part that grows out of the bottom of the stem.

2. Stem… The stick like part between the flower and the roots.

3. Leaf…The green part that grows out of the stem of a plant or flower.

4. Flower…The top colorful part at the top of the stem.

5. Seed…
The part that is used to grow another plant or flower.

The part that grows from the flower of a plant.

What do plants need to grow?

Plants need four things to grow:
1. Air
2. Water
3. Soil
4. Light

1. Air…Plants breathe in carbon dioxide and breathe out oxygen through their leaves.

2. Water…Plants drink in water through their roots.
