PARISH NURSE HOURS Mondays 3:30—4:30 PM

It is flu season again with flu activity increasing. We will, as in the past, refrain from handshaking. Share the peace as always with a smile, fist bump or elbow bump.

Citrus fruits are packed with vitamin C which we all need. They also contain micronutrients called polyphenols and terpenes which are powerful anti-inflammatory agents that have been shown to inhibit the growth of can-cer cells, reduce cholesterol, improve blood sugar levels and increase blood flow. Eat more fruits along with eating more vegetables. Your body will thank you!

Medicare open enrollment closes December 7. An Onsite Defibrillator (AED) for use on someone with Sudden Cardiac Arrest continues to be available if

needed/ It is located in the elevator alcove on the wall in the narthex. There is signage visible in the hall.

I would like to say "THANK YOU" for all the support Zion has shown for Operation Christmas Child! I am proud to say that with all your generous donations and members taking boxes and filling them and bringing them back we were able to send 119 boxes! Our best year yet! What an amazing way to help the Samaritan Purse project reach their goal of reaching another 11 million children around the world!!! Some fun facts about our

boxes: 52 boxes filled by members, 37 boxes filled by the Jr high youth group with items donated by members, and 30 boxes filled by the 8th grade confirmation group (service event), along with a check for $270 to help with shipping from monetary donations and noisy offering. What a great way to show "God's work our hands"! I can't wait to see what Zion has in store for Operation Christmas child in 2020! God’s Blessings—Amber Holtan
