Date: March 10, 2012 In our real world our children are born in the technologi- cal age were they are able to navigate their way with all the games, iPod's, Wii and other devices that are out there to improve their everyday lives. Schools are being equipped with tools to enhance this, and teachers are being educated to support this therefore, coupling these two together lets explore second life and Google Earth as we educate our savvy kids. The view of China from the wall shows
beautiful l buildings for children to see the
difference and similarities . There are a lot of
tall bamboo tree and home among those trees
that is built in the water. There are acres of
rice field and wicker containers on the ground
use to reap the tice when it ready.

Vampire Empire is a safe haven for vampires. It is dark and gloomy with a hugh
fountain of blood in the center of the haven.

This is an aerial view of the Statue of Liberty.
On the observation deck there is a lovely view of
the surrounding water on which the boat travels
back and forth with passengers to the island.

This scenery in Africa, on the safari there are
a lot of animals drinking from water holes and some just standing around. There are hugh
trees, dry cracked ground and houses made from
zinc and wood.
You should definitely visit the Vampire
Empire, and explore you will be amazed.
Also visit the Africa Safari and get up close
to look at the animals.

The Holocaust Museum is located in the state of Washington. The aerial vies captures the museum and
other points of interest. The White House is also located
in Washington and can be seen in the distance.
The view of the Botanical Gardens and it’s surroundings is very vivid and real. It is like actual
being there except from an aerial viewpoint.
Zooming in the three-D effects gives much more than the imagination.
Disney World Resort , The Theme Park and
other park can be seen from this view point, and If
you click on the picture icon there are visuals of the other parks. Other point of interest that are
located around Disney World for example Bear
Lake, Riles Island and Lake Buena Vista are in
view.

The view of the Staten Island Zoo from this
image does not capture any animals or anything
really that can be seen however, the picture icons on the Google Earth does deliver where the
image fell short.
Mount Everest is the highest mountain in the
world. There other smaller mountains that
can be seen along with lots of trees, rocky
slopes and ridges. Visible trails can be seen
when one zooms in.
The picturesque view of this beach in Jamaica shows the beautiful shoreline and inviting water.
One can see gazeboes and umbrellas on the beach.
The visible road and building in the distance along with trees in the surroundings.

The twist and turns of the Great Wall
of China is so clear and vivid. The
mountainous surroundings also help as
it is lush and green. The picture icons
also shows different parts on the walls
along with tourist who visits yearly.
The Statue of Liberty located in New York is
accessible by boat to the island. The view shows
A beautiful scenery around it and the icons zooms in on different points of the statue. This would be a
perfect class trip inside the classroom via Google
Earth.
The Serengeti has animals roaming and eating
at their own leisure. The pictures icons shows
nature at its best.
The satellite picture of St. Paul’s is much better and
clearer. However, there are no inside views of the
cathedral. This could be an expensive class trip so

Secondlife offers
students the op-
portunity for experience not afford-
ed in the real world. It allows for
creativity and teaches in ways that
supports the technological age. Stu-
dents can learn with this tool in the
classroom setting as it allows explo-
ration in the virtual world.. Howev-
er, the disadvantage is not limited
but include the fact that it takes
away from the actual reality of life
as mimics persons, places . Teach-
ing should continue to include the
five modules of learning which are
seeing, touching, smelling, hearing
and tasting if appropriate.

Google Earth is
virtual globe allowing
us to view the earth
using 3-D. This tool which supports
the real world. Students can take in-
expensive trips just sitting at the
computer. They could zoom in on
places heard of and cannot visit, see
far away land, and explore their
world at their
fingertip. This tool is definitely a
keeper in the classroom to enhance
learning. As with everything,
Google Earth has it advantages and
its disadvantages.
