SuPer SeaL

Quest Auto Air Conditioner Super Seal has one tube that seals leaks in metal parts and a second that seals leaks in connecting rubber parts. It also contains a red dye that pinpoints larger leaks. Larger leaks where the refrigerant charge is lost within two weeks may need to be manually repaired.

The red tube contains a moisture activated chemical formulation that remains a fluid until it is polymerized by moisture and solidifies to form a scrub or patch. Pressure, heat and the absence of significant moisture inside the air conditioner prevent the fluid from polymerizing until it leaks out of the air conditioner. As the refrigerant leaks out, it chills the air, creating moisture. This moisture activates the chemicals to form a patch. This patch seals leaks in the condenser, evaporator, accumulator and compressor.

The black tube contains conditioners and sealers that penetrate and rejuvenate o-rings, gas-kets, and other rubber connectors to prevent leakage. It also adds a drying agent to eliminate any moisture in the system, and a red dye to mark larger leaks.
