My first visit to Langkawi Island last school holiday was unforgettable.

It was my first experience boarding a ferry. I went there with my parents and my

younger brother, Azman. All the way to Langkawi, he refused to sit. Instead, he stood

up to see the water and all the things around him. I could see the glimpse of the island.

I also saw a big eagle sculpture standing proudly at Dataran Lang.

My father took us to a hotel in Pekan Kuah. Later in the evening, we

went to The Underwater World. We saw many types of fish. After that, we had some

coconut water as refreshment.

The next day was the most thrilling moment for my seven year old

brother and me. We went up to Gunung Mat Cincang in a cable car. I felt a little bit

scared but my little brother was so excited. When we were in the cable car, the view

was amazing and magnificent.

That evening we went shopping. We managed to buy a lot of chocolates

as souvenirs. The next morning, we packed our things to get ready for home.

Dear Ramli,

Our school has organised a safety campaign today. These are the things that I

want to share with you since you were absent from school.

It is important for you to know if there is any harmful situation in your house.

If you find it, inform your parents. You also need to check the electric outlets. Make

sure they are not overloaded with lots of plugs. Electrical appliances come with electric

cords and make sure they are in good conditions. Unused electrical appliances should

be turned off or unplugged when you and your family leave home.

It is better to have a fire extinguisher at your house. Ask your parents to buy one

if your house has none and always keep sharp items like knives at a safer place.
