• There were 6,123 arrests reported for curfew and loitering law violations, an increase of 30 percent from the previousyear.

• Fifty percent of the persons arrested were black, 49 percent were white, and 1 percent were other races.

• Hispanics accounted for 26 percent of those arrested and 74 percent were not of hispanic origin.
