Certificate I in Construction- Doorways 2 Construction (D2C)
This course provides students an opportunity to explore career options
within the Building and Construction industry. Students will develop
skills, knowledge and experience within the industry and develop
attributes that will help them establish the fundamentals for a successful
career start.
Practical learning activities will focus on several trades and simulate the
sequence of residential construction. Guided theoretical learning will be
based around the competencies that make up the
Certificate in Construction.

This course is designed for students interested developing an under-
standing in the nature, range and structure of the hospitality Industry,
who enjoy practical work and like being involved in a diverse social

Certificate III in Hospitality
This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have a range of
well-developed hospitality service, sales or operational skills and sound
knowledge of industry operations. Using discretion and judgement,
they work with some independence and under limited supervision
using plans, policies and procedures to guide work activities.
This qualification will provide a pathway to work in organisations such as
restaurants, hotels, motels, clubs, pubs, cafés, and coffee shops.
This qualification allows for multiskilling and for specialisation in
accommodation services, food and beverage and gaming.
There are no specific academic entry requirements for this qualification.
Applicants for the Certificate III in Hospitality are expected to:
Have a demonstrated capacity in learning, reading, writing,
oracy and numeracy competencies to Level 3 of the Australian
Core Skills Framework (ACSF). See Australian Core Skills
Framework.
The above requirements could be demonstrated by applicants in a
variety of ways such as
Having completed secondary school to year 11
Verified references from an employer indicating that the
applicant has demonstrated the above requirements in their
workplace
Via an interview process that assesses the applicant’s skills.
Work placement is required for the core unit SITHIND004, Worked
effectively in hospitality service as a minimum of 36 service periods
(shifts) need to be logged for performance evidence.
CEG will assist our students to gain work placements for this task.

Certificate III in Individual Support
This course is the standard entry qualification for students who want to
work in residential aged care. The course is nationally recognised and
can be used as a pathway to nursing, an introduction to allied health
or an accreditation towards further study in the field of health.
Students will learn how to provide physical and emotional support to
enhance independence and wellbeing. This course does involve
bending, stretching, kneeling, squatting and being on your feet for
extended periods of time.
Successful applicants must demonstrate respect, genuine compassion
and empathy towards others.
Students must undertake 4 weeks of Structured Workplace Learning.
(or the equivalent of 120hrs)

This nationally accredited certificate is designed to students the skills and knowledge required to
measure business viability. It covers a range of operational practices necessary to research a small
business environment. This course is designed for people intending to open their own small business.
Participants will be required to develop a business idea from concept to implementation readiness.
Participants will use their own business/business idea, investigating, developing and planning for its
eventual launch.

general information and communications technology (ICT) technical functions and to achieve a degree of

Certificate II in Electronics & Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Dual Cert)
These qualifications covers competencies for foundation skills and
knowledge as well as safety in any electro technology discipline.
Students will develop skills to select, assemble, set up and maintain
electronic Devices. The course comprises of classroom based study and
workshop practices. The dual certification also provides a potential
entry point for students wishing to become an Electrician, Data
Technician or Refrigeration and Air-conditioning mechanic.
Students who wish to enter the fields of security systems, computer
systems may also benefit from the completion of this course.
It is recommended that all students have a good understanding of both
English and General Mathematics.
An interest in pursuing a career pathway in electro technology, electrical,
