SOLAR CONTROL

Ideal for windows, roofs, glazed facades and conservatories –

anywhere you need to maximise natural daylight while radiating and reflecting a high proportion of the

sun’s heat away from the glass – our solar control glass helps leave your indoor spaces brighter and cooler

compared to standard glass. It also filters out uncomfortable glare from

the sun.

Your building’s energy efficiency may also improve, as the need for

air conditioning during the warmer, summer months should also be

reduced.

THERMALINSULATION

Maintaining a comfortable indoor en-vironment is challenging, particularly when temperatures fluctuate during the day, between seasons and across different climatic regions.

Ideal for renovation projects or new residential and commercial builds, our thermal insulating glass (low emissivity glass) welcomes natural light into a room, while neutralising the negative effects of frosty outside temperatures.

The glass reflects heat back into the room to keep a building, office or home warmer by reducing heat loss from the interior during the colder winter months.

Using thermal insulating double glazing is the most effective way of improving the energy efficiency

of windows, making your living or workspace more comfortable all year round.

Improved thermal insulation means fewer cold spots and drafts near doors and windows. There’s less con-densation, too – the inner surface of the glass remains warmer, reducing internal condensation and prolong-ing the life of the glass.

We can make the glass neutral or beautifully transparent, while giving designers and builders the freedom to use larger windows, flooding home or office interiors with natural daylight.

We can also add other performance features to the glass such as security, safety and noise reduction.

NOISE CONTROL

Noise pollution is a serious issue for many ar-chitectural specifications, whether commercial, residential, new build or refurbishment projects. As urban areas develop and infrastructure expands, there is an increasing need to reduce unwanted noise from road traffic, aircraft and trains, to create more comfortable living and working environments.

Too much noise can be damaging to the health and wellbeing of people – from disrupted sleep, to increased stress levels to a lack of concen-tration in the workplace.

Our acoustic insulating glass combines excel-lent noise reduction performance with all the benefits of traditional laminated safety glass such as increased security, safety and UV protection. Other performance features can be added such as solar control, thermal insulation and decorative effects.

Inside an office or at home, you can limit noise levels between rooms using our acoustic insu-lating glass in partitions, doors, windows and conservatories.

When safety and security are your priorities, we offer a wide range of performance glass products to meet your precise needs.

From windows, curtain wall and facades, to overhead glazing, partitions, balustrades, floors, aquaria, art galleries and museums, our lami-nated glass offers significant impact resistance, providing increased safety and security, as well as UV protection. Two or more panes of glass are bonded together using a durable plastic interlayer, which enables the glass to resist penetration by impacting objects. If it should break, the glass will tend to remain in its frame, minimising the risk of injury from sharp edges and flying shards of glass.

HEAT TREATED GLASSMany of our products are heat treatable for adding the safety features to their original per-formance. Tempered (toughened and strength-ened) glass is used when high strength, thermal resistance and safety are key consider-ations. Tempered glass is particularly safe, as it tends to break into small, circular pieces rather than large, jagged shards.

INVISIBLETransparency – the ability to see clearly through glass – is critical in many interior and exterior projects. While the glass may be crys-tal-clear, its surroundings can provide obstacles to the perfect view in the form of unwanted glare and reflection. Guardian Glass has a solution to this problem.

Our anti-reflective glass is almost invisible*. You will have to look very carefully to see our anti-reflective glass in museum displays, entranceways, retail storefronts, stadiums, roof-top restaurants and glazed facades. The glass combines function and beauty to maximise visibility and minimise light reflection, providing the perfect distortion-free viewing experience you’re likely to see anywhere on the planet.

* The Invisible Glass, Guardian Clarity™, can reduce reflection from 8% to around 0.7%, compared to standard glass, as well as increasing light transmission for a viewing experience that is virtually distortion free.
