Kerala's leading wedding silks destination Seematti and its CEO and Lead Designer Beena Kannan are at the core of the concept of Ensemble 2014. Especially, Beena Kannan believes that Ensemble 2014 would be a spring board for future Fashion Design professionals to succeed in their profession. It was she who suggested that the contestants be selected from among competing fashion design students.

Description of one of the works
TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR ENSEMBLE 2014
1. Ensemble 2014 is sponsored by Seematti and its CEO Beena Kannan. Fostering all aspects of fashion designing among students of Fashion is its Prime Focus. Hence, only students of Fashion Design are eligible to participate in the Fashion Design Contest Ensemble 2014. 2. Aspiring participants must be Fashion School students who can apply in the standard format attached.3. Participants should submit Seven (7) designs to present to the judging panel on the theme “Festive Collection”.4. The designs shouldn’t have been used before in any contest or sold to any manufacturer/retailer.5. The application form must be accompanied by the team’s “Look Book” and a bonafide certificate of all the participants from their respective institutions. 6. If there is any inspiration for the design, the source should be clearly indicated.7. The selected candidates should send a DD for Rs 10,000/- drawn in favour of “Seematti, Kochi”. This amount is refundable after the show. (Conditions apply). Please remember to enclose alongside a letter of consent from the department head. 8. All the decisions on the contest by the panel of judges will be final and binding on the contestants. 9. The organizers of Ensemble 2014 have the right to use the photos, videos, text and audio of the contest for publicity across media as and when required. 10. No document submitted with the application will be returned to the contestants.11. Contact person of Ensemble 2014 is Mr. Rajagopal V.K, Tel: +91 9847050080, email: [email protected]. All the dates of the contest must be adhered to. If not, the entries are likely to be rejected.13. The Winning Team’s designer clothes would be carried in the Fashion Show on 11th October 2014. 14. Seematti and/or the organizers of Ensemble 2014 will not accept any liability for the sketches/Design submitted for violation of patent, trademark and such other legal forms of ownership.
