MusicTap ¡
How to help young children to have fun and re-tain more in music ? What is the best strategy?. These are tricky questions, actually, it‘s very difficu-lt to define a single strategy when we are talking about music, and even more when we try to mix these theories with interactive surfaces. Teaching kindergarten music sounds so easy – doesn’t it. The real truth is that this age requires innate under-standing on the relationship between color and musical theory and a real strategy and recipe for success.
The benefits of teaching children music lessons at a young age have been well documented. Re-search suggests that children who are exposed to music and music theory perform better in tests of memory, literacy, mathematics and general IQ. The effect of music on the brain also seems to pro-mote creativity and help children learn coordina-tion, cooperation and concentration.
To play with trampolines reminds us of our child-hood and automatically gives us an imaginary of recreation, friendship, and playfulness. This Project Works as an installation that combines hexagons of a variety of colors and sounds loops and te-ach TEMPO as a basic concept in musical theory. Loops and colors ared produced by hopping on, or running over the Hexagons.
