[Ref: Hansard Transcript 18 June 2014 [PAGE #449-450]]
In relation to: Study/ evaluation undertaken to determine which services will cease under the NDIS.
Has the NDIS Taskforce undertaken a study to determine how services under current Service Funding Agreement will be affected by the NDIS? Can you provide a summary of the study undertaken (information that is in the public domain) which was provided to the Commonwealth, including what the sector is, what is currently provided by the Government and what the expectations are for private delivery?
MINISTER BURCH: The answer to the Member's question is as follows:-
In the Estimates hearing I advised members that I would not be able to provide commercial in confidence information about providers.
I am able to provide a high level overview of the capacity of the sector, which is attached (Attachment A).
The high level overview of the sector outlines:
• The distribution of current services used by people with a disability (including psychosocial disability) in the ACT.
• The financial profile of community based disability service providers in the ACT impacted by the NDIS.
• The ACT Government funding distribution across community sector organisations providing disability services.
• The split between non - government and Government disability service provision in the ACT.
