It is a difficult challenge to manage such a wide variety of personalities and professional levels within such a large institution, and Andrea made it look easy. andrea nemecek, aiaprincipal and founder

Andrea Nemecek is a 24 year veteran of the Architecture, Project Management, and Construction industry. She is a licensed Architect in the State of Wisconsin and member of the American Institute of Architects. Her goal is to guide her clients through every step of the design and construction process by taking action as a unified professional partner. All processes implemented by allume architects are carried through in a thoughtful manner with the following principles in mind:

•every project and client is unique•exemplary listening practices, clear communication, and follow-through is key •a project is not successful unless the client’s expectations have been surpassed

Andrea’s main focus surrounds designing spaces which improve the quality of the human experience. This concept surrounds the idea that internal and external spaces impact our lives every day. Successful design is integral to improved business revenue, human well-being, and increased productivity. These concepts translate over to many commercial projects such as: Healthcare Facilities, Retail establishments, Business and Corporate offices, Educational Establishments, Manufacturing/Warehouse/Distribution Facilities.

Prior to starting allume architects, Andrea held the position as Staff Architect and Project Manager for the Medical College of Wisconsin where she worked on academic, business office and wet/dry research labs.

Before her time at MCW, she spent 12 years in a private architecture firm designing and managing commercial projects and single family residential homes. In 1996 she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Architecture and Certificate in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee. As part of her education she also spent time studying abroad throughout Europe.
