The WA Lofts revives a historic building, opening up its structure and purpose to a new environment. An adaptive reuse project converting a 1924 elementary school into multi-family loft apartments. Within the heart of the residential and bordering the university, the building seeks to create new inside / outside spaces, animating the playground again. A sustain-able concept for occupant control, green space and veritcal living.

Mediatheque, a public venue rooted in the social structure of Montreal; a concept to see and be seen in a progression of layers. The buildings layers creates different degrees of exposure to media, elements of communication and the surrounding environments. A product of display, interaction and research for transmitting and absorbing. The attention is around a public square, alternate paths drawing towards the action. Moving deeper within the layers, the more concentrated the information and the more private to encounter.
