The last decade has seen many considerable changes in the textile industry, such as substrate innovation and improvements in production equipment and manufacturing procedures which have all had a big impact. Increasing environmental and workplace legislation has also had a major influence on the way that we work today. Because of the present and future economic pressures, reducing operating costs is likely to be the key development in textiles manufactur. Possible ways in which this may be achieved are : Reducing labour costs, Cutting down energy and water consumption and exercising great care in the selection of additives, Whilst baring in mind the requirement to protect our environment. The Company's 80years of experience as a supplier of products for enhancing textiles naturally makes PROTEX INTERNATIONAL very much concerned with these challenges in the 21st century. PROTEX INTERNATIONAL devotes substantial efforts to research and regularly files new patent applications. To illustrate the work which we are doing in this area, we thought that it would be worthwhile publishing
