Sound SymbolismA non arbitrary between sound and meaning or words that sound like what they mean.

Morphology refers to words structure. Words are the “carriers” of meaning par excellence. To indicate meaning, we used words.

That is what most people understand by the notion of “word”. This is probably the hardest part of all, since we can express virtually anything with a word.

Clauses and phrases are probably the most basic syntactic structures, the former are used to communicate events and the latter, objects.

A big RemnantWhen speaking about phonology, we skipped an important linguistic mechanism to convey meaning: intonation. By varying the pitch of the way we pronounce, we can no doubt express nuances of meaning.
