Let's just be real. The Internet revolution has done more than just break down market barriers; it's built a deeply connected society where everyone and everything is discoverable. Through social media platforms we've created a global community that has rediscovered its love of sharing-from pictures and stories to files and projects-the Internet we have built reflects our human need to be social and connect with one other. That got us thinking. There must be hundreds of photos out there of DFS employees working hard. Photos we would love to see and share. We know there are photos of DFS teams working projects, or maybe there are before-and-after project photos. These photos exist. We've seen them. So share them with us and we'll share them with all of you. We'll feature a front page DFS Photo of the Month every month, right here in The DFS Insider. Meet Anna From Adler Planetarium If you follow us on facebook or linkedin, or you’ve seen some of our recent publications, you’ve probably seen one of these amazing photo taken by Anna Carrillo. This girl just has an eye for photography and while she loves to take pictures of her family and friends, she also loves to share her work world with others and takes some beautiful shots of DFS employees at their best. Anna is the DFS Manager at Adler Planetarium in Chicago. She is constantly focused on not only improving the facility, but making her employees feel appreciated and valued. Here is her story… How did you get so good at taking photos? You really seem to have an eye for it. "I always took photos. I love taking pictures of my family especially my

babies. But its also great at work. I love what I do, I really do, and I admire watching and capturing images of people who are working hands on and really working and doing something they appreciate. It shows them that I admire their work, and notice their work. The employees appreciate it. That’s the reason that I love it. And I show them the pictures, like look I caught you doing this, you look great. Good job!" Your pictures capture our employees in really amazing environments. Adler Planetarium really looks like a beautiful place. What’s your favorite spot at the planetarium? "Right by the terrace looking at the inside and outside of the facility. You can see the city, plus you’re surrounded by the beauty inside. It’s a soothing place, when you feel stressed. It gives me energy. I just love it out here." You celebrated your 14 year work-anniversary this month with DFS. What was your first position? "PSA Passenger Service Agent at Midway; before TSA took over that role. Then I was able to stay on with DFS at Midway in other roles for 13 years. Then I worked for the SMG team at Midway, I moved over to the University of Chicago for some time and then the Adler opportunity came up and it was a great place for me to support. This was one of my most favorite spots in the city. I had always seen events in the evening when I was off work and always thought 'I would love to work out here’ and when it came up I just knew it was right for me." What are you most proud of in your life? "My family and the people that I work with and the people that work with me, when I can teach them something, when you train and they get even better than you. For example, there is a manager at the University and when I knew her she was really quiet, but I saw how fast she worked and how good she was. When I had the chance to promote her to a supervisor I did, and now she’s a manager and doing a great job. I cried when I found out she was promoted. I like to teach people what I know and I want them to do better than me." Tell me about your favorite things in life. Favorite flowers, favorite food, favorite part of your day. "I love people; I’m a people person; I love being surrounded by people. I love dancing, I love being happy, I love tacos and I love barbeques." What else can you share with us about your role as a DFS employee and what you enjoy about your job? "When I first joined DFS I was in a really tough place in my life personally. That opportunity, and those that came after, made a big difference in my life. I was able to support my family, and do the things I needed to do to be a good person and take care of myself. Now that I turned 50. I do a lot of traveling. I go to the Bahamas, Dominican republic, Mexico. But there was a time in my life that these things weren’t possible. DFS really changed my life around when I started working for the company. God worked his wonders and I want every to know, especially Mark, Barb and Rockie, that I am very thankful for everyone and to be a part of the DFS family."
