With their current recruiting software, cBizOne, Gecko Hospitality required major customizations to accommodate their rapid growth. As a result, Robert Krzak, founder and president, began searching for a new software solution that would grow with his business.

“I was intrigued by the well-respected Board of NAPS’s (National Association of Personnel Services) excellent opinion regarding Sendouts for their performance and customer service,” said Robert. As a result, Krzak personally met with Jonathan Herrick, vice president of sales of Sendouts, at the 2006 NAPS Conference in San Francisco and began discussing Gecko Hospitality’s needs for recruiting software.

Subsequently, Jonathan traveled to the Gecko Hospitality Franchise Meeting in Tampa, Florida to perform a Sendouts Pro demonstration for a group of franchise owners. The franchise owners

then narrowed the search to the industry’s top 5 recruiting software solutions, including Sendouts Pro. In the end, Sendouts Pro was “hands-down” the best software solution for Gecko Hospitality’s recruiting process.

“We chose Sendouts because the advanced, cutting-edge technology was already there, we didn’t have to reinvent the wheel,” said Robert. “Also, Sendouts’ service center is located in the United States. It was important that our technology solution provide a local voice.”

in-depth, reliable and highly accessible. Ostreet has spent years qualifying and managing their data; and with Sendouts’ assistance, Ostreet has optimized the way they access, manage and use that data.

Ostreet was founded by veteran recruiter and former systems engineer, Rebecca Ruede. Wanting a recruiting software solution that would focus on her unique philosophy, she began to evaluate several systems. While employed at a former recruitment firm, Rebecca was familiar using Bullhorn and PcHunter recruiting software. However, when launching Ostreet, Rebecca’s experience proved these solutions to be unacceptable.

“With Bullhorn, I couldn’t import data the way I wanted it and they offered limited customizations,” said Rebecca. “Through their data conversion, I would lose much of my data and I was not in a position to give up client and candidate information. Also, Bullhorn’s webpage layout and website navigation were not user-friendly.”

Rebecca preferred the easy navigation of Sendouts Pro and the fact that it’s modular based.

“Efficiency is important in this industry because saving time leads to more placements. All the data for one record is contained within one screen in Sendouts Pro. In Bullhorn, I’m required to flip to various pages to get the information I need,” said Rebecca.

At first, Rebecca built her own recruiting database allowing her to customize data accessibility. However, she realized the need for workflow tools was growing ever present. Rebecca reviewed

several other software systems including Vurv and PCRecuiter. Finally, she switched to Prohire recruiting software, but was highly disappointed with their customer service.

“I was a paying customer with a serious outage and the customer service representative would not help me,” said Rebecca. “Without my database, I’m unable to

perform the most basic functions of recruiting. I’m essentially out of business during that window. He just wanted to get to the next call and that was very upsetting to me. I want to be with a company that cares.”

After using Prohire for one month and frustrated with software performance, Rebecca began seeking a more stable system with advanced technology, data flexibility and excellent customer service. With her technical experience and methodical evaluation process, she ultimately turned to Sendouts Pro. As a recruiter, the database is everything and the only solution she felt comfortable storing Ostreet’s data was Sendouts Pro.

Using a consultative approach, Sendouts took the time to create a custom bridge to match fields accurately from Prohire to Sendouts Pro. Implementation was truly a two-way process to minimize data conversion issues.

Staff I.T. is a privately-held company specializing in information technology recruitment and provides direct-hire and contract staffing solutions to the eastern Tennessee market. Staff I.T.’s unique process is not typical of the recruiting industry and every employee has specific sales, sourcing and

workflow responsibilities. Sendouts Pro allows the entire Staff I.T. team to access from any location a centralized database that manages their entire recruiting workflow from sourcing to final placement.

Originally, Staff I.T. attempted to organize their recruiting process with Maximizer, a contact management database system. They quickly came to the realization that contact management databases are not designed around recruiting. Not to mention, their large amount of candidate and job order data was grossly overrunning the system’s capacity.

They decided to migrate to the mindScope software. As an installed system, mindScope lacked the overwhelming benefits of an ASP model, such as remote access, flexible customization, minimal maintenance costs and automated software updates. Staff I.T. needed an efficient system to evolve with their ever-changing needs. Needless to say, Glenn was nervous about having to implement a third software platform.

The hunt for a third system began at the Baltimore NAPS conference in 2005. It was extremely important to Glenn to choose software that would help increase their fill-rates and have the sales automation tools to acquire new clients. He began reviewing specific systems, met with vendors and spoke with trusted colleagues to collect their feedback and personal ATS system experiences.

With Glenn’s 13 years of software sales experience and Staff I.T.’s expertise in information technology, the team created one of the most thorough and concise Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP included a list of more than 60 exacting requirements and was given to 8

to 10 ATS providers for completion. The responses yielded 3 possible solutions: cBizOne, Sendouts Pro and Bullhorn.

In the end, Sendouts was chosen, not only for their advanced functionality, but because they took the time to understand Staff I.T.’s unique recruiting process and

overall business objectives. From the beginning, Sendouts’ offered a solution custom-tailored to meet those objectives.

Glenn also knew that a major data conversation from one software to another could lead to unexpected surprises if not done properly. He felt confident that Sendouts would provide a smooth data conversion from mindScope to Sendouts Pro. The data conversion team at Sendouts actually took the time to understand their process and data structure. As a result, Sendouts designed a custom bridge to bring over the mindScope data successfully.

Also, when it came to customer service and technical support, his colleagues consistently gave Sendouts positive feedback.

“Are they going to be there for me if there are problems and work to get them resolved? Consistently, I heard Sendouts’ support is great and they have lived up to those expectations,” said Glenn. “ When I call, I never get a, ‘What did you do to it now or didn’t you just call yesterday’ attitude. It’s always been, what can I do for you and how can I help?”

As for daily performance, Sendouts Pro allows Staff I.T.’s account executives and recruiters to plan and update their schedules in real-time. They are able to stay focused on their sales funnel and make the most of their precious recruiting time. This equates to increased placements and revenue.
