• Selected Florida State over Florida, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Miami and Clemson

Okaro White played one of the great games of his career in totaling a near double-double of 20 points and nine rebounds to go along with six blocked shots in 31 minutes of play as Florida State rallied to win, 65-62, at Maryland. His six blocked shots tied the Seminoles’ school record for blocked shots in a road ACC game...in pulling down nine rebounds, he tied his career high with six offensive rebounds. He was par-ticularly spectacular with 15 consecutive Florida State points in a span of 6:15 to take the Seminoles from a one point deficit (43-42) to a six point advantage (57-51). Outscored the Terps, 15-8, to help Florida State win the game. One of his 10 rebounds came with one second remaining after Michael Snaer blocked a poten-tial game-winning 3-point shot by Seth Allen. White was fouled on the rebound and made one of two free throws to ice the game and give Florida State its final margin of victory.
