The inspiration for BrightStar came from our own family experience. When our late Grandma was suffering from cancer, we were surprised by how difficult it was to find quality homecare professionals to help care for her. We made calls, left

messages, and did a lot of waiting. It took a long time before we finally found people we could trust. We are forever grateful for the help our caregivers provided during our time of need.

The creation of BrightStar stems from our journey with our Grandma. We made a promise to her that we would create a great company with a great purpose: To provide families and their loved ones with the highest level of accessible homecare, dignity, and personal attention they need and deserve.

Bonnie Hellickson | Branch Manager I have 30+ years in health care starting with working as a CNA in a hospital, EMT and MA. In 1980, I began working in home care and found I really loved the one on one experience. I became the manager of a Medicare based agency and stayed in that position for 20 years.

After retirement for 2 years, Shelly found me and I came on board with this “new idea”

called BrightStar. Needless to say I

was hooked and have been here ever since. The best part of my job is it changes every day, I move from direct patient care, to

problem solving, to training with new franchisees. It is always new and rewarding.

Brenda Montes | Staffing Coordinator I have been in the healthcare field for over 13 years. I started as a medical receptionist and then shifted my focus to specialize in manage care. I went on to billing and staffing for Home Health Care and felt like this was somewhere to expand my career to assist and help those in need. I have come to enjoy this above all things.

While working for Home Health Care there were things that our facility could not provide to our patients. BrightStar presented their services that they provided to clients and I was very impressed by them. I eventually sought a position with their company, where I now enjoy the ability to help those in need and work and learn
