POSITION: Senior Jewellery Specialist, Resident Gemmologist & Diamond Technologist Leonard Joel, Australia's leading and most established auction house, is currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Senior Jewellery Specialist to join our vibrant team. This full-time, senior role is a rare opportunity and its primary focus will be identifying, valuing and winning fine jewellery for our quarterly Jewels Auction, with the Head of Jewellery. This is a senior role and GAA & Diamond Technology qualifications are essential. Daily duties will include: • Supporting the National Head of Jewellery to source sufficient stock to meet budgeted targets • Valuing and expertly grading diamonds, precious gems and gemstones for auction sale • Nurturing and growing our selling and buying communities • Interstate travel for valuation days and viewings • Preparing and cataloguing items for auction • Pre and post auction production of catalogues • Assisting with general client enquiries • Auction viewings and Auction attendance • Entering receipts into the system You will be working with a friendly and professional team who are passionate about delivering first class customer service. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA The successful candidate will possess the following skills: • Superior Gemmological skills • Demonstrated excellent knowledge in modern, designer and antique jewellery
