Hello!

My name is Brittany Reichmuth and I'm very happy to meet you, even if it is over text. I want to take this opportunity to tell you a little about myself and why photography is such a passion of mine.

I'llI'll begin by telling you that, in my daily life, I play a lot of roles. From my son’s playmate to the lucky wife of my husband! To this day, though, it must be said that one of my greatest passions is photography, and my role as a photographer.

II began my love affair with the camera when I was just a child. After my son was born, I became obsessed with capturing the miracle that he is, on camera. I’ve taken classes and spent late nights studying the buttons and gizmos on my camera when sleep probably would have done me some good. I have become completely immersed in the art of photography and I can’t get enough of it! My favorite part is capturing people, emotions, relationships, and conveying them to the world in a beautiful way.

II believe details are exceedingly important. For that reason, I work closely with my clients to ensure they look and feel amazing the day of our shoot. For example, in the weeks leading up to our shoot, I love receiving texts of what people plan to wear and what props they plan to bring. From sunglasses to dresses to hairstyles to shoes, I'll work with you to create the perfect outt and, as a result, the perfect picture. My goal is to not just be your photographer, but your style advisor and (slightly older) best friend during this time in your life! I want you to have a blast at our photoshoot, and I’ll make sure to take the pictures to prove it!prove it!

I hope that from this brief introduction of myself, you understand that I am not just a woman who takes random pictures. I am a photographer. And I don't just click the shutter button on my camera -- I capture the inner and outer essence of whomever is standing on the other side of my lens. Let's meet up for coffee and chats, pronto!

THE PERFECT OUTFIT

Choosing what you wear to your senior photo shoot is kind of a big deal! When you dig through your drawers and search your closets, make sure to pick out items that REFLECT who you are! This shoot is about YOU! If you’re wearing something you’re not comfortable in, it will be noticable in your face. I tell my clients that I love to see where you’d like to go with your shoot- send me a link to your PINTEREST account, where you’ve made a board with your favorite Senior Photoshoots or outts. I’ll look through them, and make sure to take note of your ideas and give you some feedback to prep for your day!

AndAnd don't forget: from head to toe, details matter! Thoughtfully select the perfect shoes, accessories, jewelry and layering details when putting together your outts. I ask my girl clients to bring a few jackets/scarves/dresses and my guy clients to bring a few sweaters, jackets and even hats if you feel up to it!

Dressing in layers is a great way to get the most out of your session. This will help to give you a different look without having to do an entire outt change. Adding a vest, jacket, or fashion scarf will effortlessly change up your outt.

WhenWhen choosing colors, remember that lighter colors tend to accentuate weight, while darker colors have a more slimming effect. Try to select colors that will not clash with each other or the season. If you have multiple outt changes, choose an outt that you love and one that your parents love. Parents don’t always have similar styles as their children. This way, everyone will be happy. Typically parents have a more classic taste. This will actually help you in the long run, as something that is trendy now will go out of style as the years progress.

OnceOnce you have your ensembles selected, take some quick snapshots of yourself and ask others for their thoughts and opinions. From there, you can make any adjustments or narrow down your selections.

This all about you, sweetheart, and we're going to make you look -- and feel -- like a bajillion bucks!

P. S. I do suggest bringing a few backup garments and accessories to the actual photo session. Just in case!

PREPARING OUTFITS AND PROPSNo less than a week before your photo shoot, make a list of all the props you plan to bring, as well as all the garments/accessories you'll be wearing. One by one, make sure you have all those items on your list.

DoingDoing this a week before the shoot gives you ample time to nd any items you wanted to bring to the shoot, but may have forgotten about. Don't forget to send me a list of your props, as well. Knowing what you want to use/wear helps me choose the right locations!

THE NIGHT BEFORETheThe night before, go through your prop and garment checklist again. As you go through the list, check the items off only after they are packed and ready to go for the following day.

Clothes/Jewelry:Clothes/Jewelry: Make sure all your garments are clean and pressed, then put them in a hanging garment bag. Put your shoes in a box or another bag so they don't get your clothes dirty. Also, keep jewelry separated so they don't get tangled up in each other.

Props:Props: Put all your props in the car you'll be driving to the photo shoot. This is especially important if you have a heavier chair or stool that you want to use. You don't want to mess up your hair or sweat off your makeup by lifting heavy objects right before your shoot. Plus, if it's all in there the day before, you don't have to worry about it on the day of!

CREATE A SCHEDULE FOR YOURSELFOnOn the day of your shoot, it's important to budget your time. If you plan to have your hair, nails and makeup done, make all your necessary appointments far in advance. You can get your nails done a few days before, but your hair and makeup should be done a few hours before your photo shoot (with enough time between each appointment to get to your next destination).

SomeSome salons do accept walk-ins, yes, but it's better to have an appointment when you have other places to be. The last thing you want is to be sitting at the salon sweating it out with both eyes glued to the clock hoping you'll make it to the shoot on time!

MeganROCKLIN HIGH SCHOOL, '14

MeganMegan is the kind of high school senior that everyone knows (or wants to know). And those who do have the privilege love being around her. She's bubbly, happy, goofy and smart. Not only is Megan on track to graduating with honors, she's a youth leader for her church in Roseville, and in several clubs on campus! Talk about a Jill of all trades! She doesn't always have herher nose in the books, though. Megan balances her school workload with her dreams and preperations to be a missionary in Africa, after she plans on graduating from Colorado Christian University!

Working with Megan was a photographer's dream. Not only is she extremely gorgeous with impeccable fashion sense, she was down for all of my crazy ideas. Turns out Megan had just as much fun as I did, too. Her words: “Who knew that taking senior pictures could be this much of a blast? I am stoked to have had this experience and can't recommend Brittany enough!”enough!”

JulietROCKLIN HIGH SCHOOL, '14

IfIf you were asked to describe Juliet in three words, you'd have a very difficult time doing so. This full-of-life high school junior is goofy, engaging, sharp-witted, kind-hearted and has the kind of humor that'll have you laughing so hard your belly hurts. When she isn't in class, Juliet is either horsebackriding -- where she practices earning more trophies with her horse “Romeo.” “Romeo.”

Our photo session was one of my favorites to date. We laughed, we bonded and we got some awesome pictures! You’d never know but it was a chipper 40 degrees outside when she was brave enough to get into a dress and hop on her horse bareback and help me get one of my all time favorite shots ever! And seriously, can you get any more beautiful? Those eyes and that smile mustmust turn all the boys into puddles. We had SO much fun!

Says Juliet, “We had such a great time, and it was really easy to just be myself around her! I am telling everyone about her, because this was WAY more fun than some musty studio!”

I LOVE MY SENIOR REPRESENTATIVES AND AFTERYOU READ ABOUT THEM HERE, I KNOW YOU WILL, TOO!
