Dr. Juan Andrade Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders

Scholarship Description: The Dr. Juan Andrade Scholarship for Young Hispanic Leaders was established by the USHLI Board of Directors in 1994. To date USHLI has awarded $310,500 in scholarships to 305 Hispanic students throughout the United States. Students attending or accepted to an undergraduate four-year institution are eligible for a $1,000 scholarship. Students attending or accepted to an undergraduate two-year institution are eligible for a $500 scholarship.
Scholarship Award Amount: $500 Renewable: No Scholarship Qualifications: Applicant must be
enrolled or accepted as a full-time student in a four-year or two-year institution in the U.S. or U.S. territories, and demonstrate a verifiable need for financial support. At least one parent must be of Hispanic ancestry.
Recipients must also be available to attend the 31st National USHLI Conference in Chicago, IL, February 13-16, 2014.

Scholarship Description: The annual $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to juniors and seniors who have truly made significant contributions or exhibited unparalleled dedication in preserving, promoting, enhancing or supporting Illinois cultural resources.
Additional Requirements: Must be nominated by a cultural resource constituency group, community leader, school administrator or teacher, or other adult mentor for volunteer efforts in support of the cultural resources of Illinois

Scholarship Award Amount: Three scholarships of $2,000.00 each
Renewable: No Scholarship Qualifications: Senior in an Illinois high
school during the year of the scholarship award and Illinois resident. Able to provide specific examples of voluntary, effective contributions to Illinois’ natural resources throughout his/her high school enrollment. Enrolling in a two- or four-year college or university program of study in the calendar year of his/her high school graduation. In good standing at his/her high school and possess a 2.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale (3.1 GPA or better on a 5.0 scale)

Scholarship Description: The Robert Dole Scholarship for Disabled Students is funded by the honorable former Senate majority leader Robert Dole who was severely wounded in World War II. The Robert Dole Scholarship for Disabled Students provides scholarships to physically and mentally challenged college students attending one of the 38 UNCF member colleges or universities. Applicants for this scholarship must be physically or mentally challenged.
