IntroductionSenseFor everyone living with complex disabilities. For everyone who is deafblind. Sense is here
to help people communicate and experience the world. We believe that no one, no matter
how complex their disabilities, should be isolated, left out, or unable to fulfil their potential.
Our experts offer support that’s tailored to the individual needs of each person, whether
that’s at our centres, through our holidays and short breaks, or in people’s homes. In
addition to practical support, we also provide information to families and campaign for the
rights of people with complex disabilities to take part in life.
Sense Touchbase PearsThis quarter we are thrilled to be hosting Flatpack Festival on May 9 th, as well as
continuing our Wellbeing programme, with a dedicated Wellbeing Day on May 20 th. We are
also participating in the Creative Festival that runs throughout May, and will be running a
number of workshops and sessions. Plus, we will be welcoming some fascinating
installations, a sensory projection pod by LEVEL and Zoe Robertson’s flockOmania.

What’s On GuideWhat’s On Guide
Award winning jewellery artist Zoe Robertson, presents flockOmania. This exhibition
showcases giant sized jewellery which was created in response to a collaborative
relationship with dance artists Natalie Garrett Brown and Amy Voris. Their background in
contemporary dance, movement improvisation and site based performance provided the
catalyst for this body of work. This cross disciplinary approach enables her to create
experiential and immersive environments which invite audience participation and you are
invited to touch the work on show.
The resulting jewellery is theatrically-sized to emphasize and explore themes relating to the scale and movement of the body. The objects on show have been meticulously handmade using a mix of traditional craft skills in combination with industrial processes and are made from materials which evoke a sensory response.
