Flash Flood 1. Gallons of muddy water appeared on the street, and people tried their best to inch forward. The stench was unbearable. 2. The road was heavily flooded due to the heavy downpour and traffic was barely moving. 3. Electricity was out. The sky was shrouded by thunderous dark clouds. Only occasional lightning pierced through, providing insignificant amount of light in the darkness. 4. It was flabbergasting to see the inside of the house after flash flood. Everything was covered with a thick layer of mud. 5. Several elderly villagers broke down in tears. They were glued to the spot because of the amount of loss they suffered. Car Accidents 1. Screeching loud noise pierced through the silence of the night / the buzzing life of the day . A number of bystanders were already there by the time we arrived at the scene. 2. The smell of blood was almost tangible in the hot air. Pool of blood could be seen on the cement floor. The victims/injured was lying unconscious on the floor. Blood was oozing out from the deeply cut wounds. 3. It was a crash between a Hilux and a motorcycle. The motorcycle was badly wrecked, as compared to the Hilux which was basically undamaged.

Flash Flood 1. Gallons of muddy water appeared on the street, and people tried their best to inch

eye-witnesses pertaining to the accident. It was a hit-and-run so not much details could

be taken.

Fire 1. Blazing flames lit up the dark gloomy sky. Agonizing heat attacked the pores of our

skin. We were all glued to the spot, shaking like a leaf while watching our house being

burnt down by the merciless fire.

2. Cracking of wood and bricks could be visibly heard in the wee hours of the morning.

3. Red and yellow ribbons of scalding heat intertwine while sparks jump and dance.

4. Bright hot flames flickered, lighting up the dark world around its molten core, as the

embers danced around in the sky above. Ember showered us like a winter snow, while

tears rolled down our cheeks like the summer rain.

5. As the famous adage goes, “fire is hell, but small.”

Snatch

Thefts

1. The thief grabbed my bag and dashed across the road, running like a mad horse on

steroids. I immediately pelted towards the thief before pouncing on him and giving him

my signature punch on his face that made him cry out in pain.

2. The security guards gave chase like a group of Olympic athletes. In no time, they had

caught up with the thief and handcuffed him.

3. The snatch thief skedaddled away and disappeared round the corner. Upon seeing

that, I immediately gave chase and scooted around the corner at the speed of the light.

Soon, I narrowed the gap between the thief and me. Taking the opportunity, I sprinted

towards him and threw myself on him.

4. The old lady’s ear-piercing scream was like the alarm clock that woke everybody up. As

the motorcyclists sped off, a couple of concerned citizens began chasing them.

5. The park, which was previously filled with laughter and joy, was instantaneously

shrouded with tension and uneasiness.

Robbery 1. Armed with rifles, the four masked robbers rushed into the bank and held up the staff

members and the customers at gunpoint.

2. “Don’t move!” the robber bellowed. Silence hung in the air as time stood still. All the

customers and staff members raised their trembling hands and crouched in fear.
