The Sentinel™ Advanced Hydraulic System takes advancements from FLSmidth Pekin LLC’s world-renowned Raptor® Cone Crushers and brings them to your machine – replacing outdated Adjustment Ring Springs* with Hydraulic Cylinders. In case of a tramp event, Sentinel simplifies clearing the crushing cavity with the turn of a switch and push of a button. Your cone can be crushing again in fewer than 15 minutes.

Manual crusher cavity clearing can be hazardous, time-consuming and costly. When personnel are required to torch, hammer and pry uncrushable material wedged between the Bowl and Head, downtime can equal hours or days, and the associated costs can reach thousands of dollars. The Sentinel Advanced Hydraulic System provides safe, virtually instant lift of the Cone Crusher’s Bowl should a tramp event occur, allowing the uncrushable material to drop out of the bottom of the crusher.

The Tramp Release Cylinders feature unique protective boots to minimize potential damage and dust contamination to the cylinder rods as they work to hold the Adjustment Ring down. In fact, Sentinel provides constant clamping force between the Adjustment Ring and the Main Frame, reducing “ring bounce” and cutting down on related maintenance and repair costs.

Hydraulic Power UnitThe Sentinel’s Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) offers constant monitoring of hydraulic pressures, tem-perature and filter conditions. Indicator and warn-ing lights advise the operator of reservoir oil level, oil temperature, oil pressure in the tramp and lock post hydraulic circuits and filter status.
