Supplies Needed: Unwashed sweatshirt with set-in sleeves, 1-2 sizes

larger than normal.

6-8 different fabrics (1/4 to 1/2 yd each) plus an extra 1/2 yard of

additional fabric. (I used a set of color

coordinated fat quarters plus an extra 1/2 yard additional matching

fabric.

Thread to blend, (or contrast)

Pins or washable aerosol glue

Scissors or rotary cutter and mat

Sewing machine,

Quilt binding at least 1/2 in wide (or make your own)

Extra Information: You may choose to make your own binding to finish the jacket with your fabric or you may wish to

select a matching quilt binding of at least 1/2 inch wide. This will go around the neck, front opening, bottom, and cuffs

.Do not cut your sweatshirt until you come to class. You may cut out the squares of colored fabric. I cut rectangles of a

similar but not exact size. These rectangles are not finished and the edges will fray when the jacket is washed. As the

jacket frays, the sweatshirt fabric may show from underneath. It works best if the fabric and sweatshirt are similar

colors. Adding toggles and buttons is an option but this can be added at home at a later date.

At least 8 (1 in.) mirrors (square or round)

Can be purchased at Hobby Lobby in various size packages

or containers and in various shapes & colors

A variety of coordinating beads in glass, plastic, etc.

Can also be purchased by the coordinating strand in the cheap bead section

of Hobby Lobby.

(1) rather large focal bead or medallion—approx. 2-3 in. in diameter for the bottom of

the hanger.

3/4 in. split ring

Glue—E6000 or a good craft glue

Tooth picks or small spreaders for applying the glue

A mat or paper to glue on
