Faith Journey - This new group for Generation Xers will begin on Sept. 25th from 3:30 - 4:30 p.m. in Room 201. We will meet the 2nd and 4th

Explorer’s Class - The Explorer’s Class continues its series today on “The Ordinary Radicals,” a dvd/discussion series depicting a recent change in emphasis among Evangelical Christians. A stronger focus on social change/action is seen as taking on more importance that the previous emphasis on personal piety. Come and join the class at 9:00 a.m. in the Adult Room. All adults are welcome. Coffee is served!
Contemporary Issues - This 10:30 a.m. adult class is studying the origins of the Bible, how it has evolved over time, and how it is interpreted today. This journey of discovery about the rich traditions and mysteries from archeological discoveries and Biblical scholarship, will
help us explore and understand how this book has become the most influential writings in human history. Join us as we read, discuss and learn about the Bible’s ancient beginnings and our present day interpretations.
Brown Bag Lunch - Come join us for Brown Bag Lunch every Tuesday at 12:00 noon. Bring your own lunch and socialize with people from the church. We always have a good time! Come and be part of this fun group!
Singles at Dayspring -Singles, Etc. Lunches - Each Sunday after the second service, those who want to go out for lunch as a group meet at the restaurant listed below. If you attend first service, please join us! We gather around noon under the name “Dayspring”. September 18 - Mark’s Café - 6340 S. Rural, Suite 120, NW corner of Rural and Guadalupe.
Connections is a Dayspring mission that advocates for the intrinsic worth of all persons, regardless of their sexual orientation. It offers support to and education about gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered persons and their families. It also hosts the Tempe PFLAG group meeting each first Friday of the month. Our clergy can provide the names of “Connections” members for you to contact.
Wesley Health Center News - The Wesley Health Center is looking for bi-lingual (Spanish/English) volunteers to help with bilingual outreach work. We have some important patient outreach projects that are ongoing, and any assistance would be hugely appreciated.
