PICTURE OF THE WEEK
Members of 7th and 8th grade Intermediate Band took part in Friday’s Homecoming Festivities by marching in the Homecoming Parade, performing at half-time of the football game, and taking part in the spirit band during
the game, all with the high school marching band. Band is directed by Mr. Steven Sharp and Ms. Jessica Wilcox.
LEAP trip to P-Bar Farms has been RESCHEDULED to Wednesday, 9/29.

Make up Picture Day will take place Tuesday, Oct 5th. This is for all students who missed the original Picture Day, and any student who wants retakes (photo proofs will be returned to the student before this day.) Order

6TH GRADE CHOIR NEWS September 21, 2021
Dear Parent;
We will perform at the High School Football game next Friday evening, October 1st. We will sing for the pre-game and half-
time show. Students who are singing will be allowed into the game for free. Students will enter at the NORTH WEST ENTRANCE
of the stadium by 6:20 p.m. sharp!!!
Friday night’s game is a special presentation for the Bethany Hall of Fame members. We will be joining with the Middle School and
High School choirs, as well as the band.

On Friday night, we will sing at 6:40 p.m. Please have your child at the stadium by 6:20 p.m. The football stadium is West of
Council on 50th street, all the way at the end of the street. ALL CHOIR STUDENTS NEED TO USE THE NORTH WEST
ENTRANCE GATE. Parents need to enter at the regular entrance.
Please have your child wear their choir shirt (they will be in by then) with jeans, jean capris, or black pants. NO SHORTS!!
Tickets to the game for parents are $5. Children under 5 are free.
The kids are very excited, and I am so proud that they have been asked to sing.

We will be practicing at the stadium on that Friday morning, Oct 1st. WE NEED PARENTS TO DROP THEIR STUDENT OFF AT
THE FOOTBALL STADIUM THAT MORNING INSTEAD OF AT THE SCHOOL. DROP OFF TIME CAN BE ANYTIME FROM 7:30 –
7:45 A.M. THAT MORNING. IF YOU CANNOT DO THIS, GO AHEAD AND DROP YOUR CHILD OFF AT SCHOOL BY 7:30. A BUS
WILL BE PICKING THEM UP TO TRANSPORT THEM TO THE STADIUM. It will leave at 7:35 sharp!!!
IF IT IS RAINING ON FRIDAY MORNING, WE WILL NOT REHEARSE. JUST TAKE YOUR 6TH GRADER TO SCHOOL LIKE NORMAL.

a.m. I understand that I will be dropping them off at the stadium that morning, instead of at school. If I cannot drop them off at the stadium, I will
make sure they are at the MIDDLE SCHOOL BY 7:30, AND A BUS WILL TRANSPORT THEM TO THE STADIUM.

Please add the following dates to your calendar: October 1st - Singing at Pregame and halftime of Football Game. (Please check your e-mail for this information.) November 4th - Fall Concert, Bethany High School Auditorium, 7:00 p.m. (Students must arrive at 6:40) December 11th - Singing for Kiwanis Pancake Breakfast, 10:00 a.m. in the elementary cafeteria.

TUTORING TIME CHANGE Tutoring is available to all students on the following schedule
Monday/Tuesday
3:15 to 4:15 pm; Room D102 (Morris)
Wednesday 3:15 to 4:15 pm; Room 2 (Langvardt)
Tuesday/Thursday
7:30 to 8:00 am; Room D203 (Rinke)
Parent Teacher Conferences will take place on the evenings of Oct 7th and Oct 12th. Conferences will be with your child’s team of grade-level teachers and will take place in person, at the middle school, unless a virtual
conference is requested by the parent. Please call the office at 405.787.3240 to schedule.

Please remember, our front doors are locked from 8:15 – 2:45 each day. To enter our building to check out a student, or to bring something to a student, you must enter on the East side of the school, by the Elementary Main Entrance. If you are checking a student out after 2:45 you may use the main middle school doors.
Please check our website at www. Bethanyschools.com Teachers will post all assignments and relevant information on this website. Most of them have links to their own personal website. This is a great way for parents to keep up with
homework or tests coming up.

Parent Portal
Parent Portal is another means of communication that BMS utilizes. With the Parent Portal you may log in to the website and check your child’s grades, attendance and personal information. If you help your student study for a test one evening, you can log on to Parent Portal and see what your child made on that test or check to see if your student made it to class on time. It is a great tool for parents to keep an eye on your student’s activities. To sign in to Parent Portal for the first time or troubleshoot log in issues, please see Kristie Escoe in the middle school office. You must take your I.D. with you. She will issue you your login password and give you the information on how to use the system.
