From Eileen Mayer: “Could you ask people to pray for Germany and the refugee

situation. Two days ago, 8,000 refugees moved in to Munich, 2,000 into Dusseldorf... In

this year, Germany has agreed to accept into citizenship 800,000 more refugees. There

are only 8 million Germans. Can you imagine, every 10th person living here soon will

be a refugee. Pray the Lord will bless Germany for welcoming these people and that

good will come out of it for the refugees and the Germans. The refugees come from a

Muslim country - but many are open to Christianity! Pray that Christians will so

manifest the love of the Lord, that it will draw these people - who are experiencing

massive change - to Him. – Eileen Mayer

Out of the Darkness Mid-Ohio Valley Walk Saturday, September 26, 2015 at the Parkersburg City Park

8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

In the United States, a person dies by suicide every 13.3 minutes, claiming more than

39,500 lives each year. It is estimated that an attempt is made every minute, with close

to one million people attempting suicide annually. Suicide is the fourth leading cause of

death in the U.S. among adults 18-65, the second leading cause of death among teens

and young adults, and individuals ages 65 and older account for 16 percent of all suicide

deaths. This is a public health issue that does not discriminate by

age, gender, ethnicity, or socio-economic status.

Walk to save lives…

Suicide is a national health problem that takes an enormous toll on family, friends,

co-workers, and the entire community. AFSP provides opportunities for survivors of

suicide loss to get involved through a wide variety of educational, outreach,

awareness, advocacy and fundraising programs.

Walk to honor loved ones…
