Today we are concerned

very much for our children. We have

finally understood that they are the

most important, not only in our

earthly world, but also in the kingdom

of heaven. We have even taught the

human rights of children and we have

taught them with great pleasure. Little

by little we understood that children are not our future but our present.

What a great responsibility to have a child!

That is why some choose not to have children or have the

least possible. Nowadays we flee from responsibility. We say that

because life itself has too many problems for us to go and seek any

more.

We see couples who live together but have chosen not to have

children, people who don't even have a steady partner; instead they find

sexual pleasure they think they need, with one partner today and a

different one tomorrow. But the saddest thing to see is that there are

couples, or women without any support, who decide that having a child

is not convenient and simply decide to kill the unborn child; practicing

the laws which tells us that they can kill an unborn child prior to having

being conceived for three months. At three months and one day the

unborn child cannot be killed because it is already a human being. So,

what was it the day prior?

We cannot deny that it is difficult to have a child and

accompany them responsibly throughout their life. It is easier to refuse

life and live centering on loving themselves.

But when one contemplates, or lives as a personal experience,

the happiness of families with children, then they understand the words

of Jesus: "Whoever receives a child, he himself will be received”. God

himself is present in the home of each of our children.

Who will be happier: The mother who loves her children, or

the unmarried who enjoys freedom?, Grandparents who enjoy the

company of their grandchildren, or the lonely old man who does not

have someone to talk to?

It took many years of insidious propaganda to transform an

ancient culture that believed that happiness consisted of being married

and having many children. Today our children are considered a

nuisance ... until they are born!

Dear parents, God has given you a gift with each one of your

children and has been present your home. Enjoy your children and live

grateful to God for having them. That your co-existence with them is

willingly and not an obligation, that each one of them feels they are the

best thing that has happened in your life and that they love you because

you have loved them unconditionally.

May God bless you through each one of your children.

Hoy en día nos preocupamos

mucho por los niños. Por fin hemos

entendido que ellos son los más

importantes no sólo en nuestro mundo

terrenal sino también en el Reino de los

cielos. Hasta hemos dictado los derechos

humanos de los niños y se los hemos

enseñado con mucho agrado de su parte.

Poco a poco vamos entendiendo que los niños no son nuestro futuro,

sino nuestro presente.

¡Qué gran responsabilidad tener un hijo!

Por eso algunos deciden no tenerlos o tener los menos

posibles. Hoy en día huimos de las responsabilidades. Decimos que ya

la vida misma tiene demasiados problemas como para que nosotros

nos busquemos otros.

Y entonces vemos parejas que viven juntas pero que han

decidido no tener hijos, personas que ni siquiera tienen una pareja

estable sino que encuentran el placer sexual que piensan que necesitan

hoy con una, mañana con otra. Pero lo más triste es ver que hay

parejas o mujeres si apoyo que deciden que tener un hijo no es

conveniente y deciden, simplemente, matarlo antes de nacer,

aprovechando las leyes que nos dicen que se puede matar a un niño

antes de los tres meses de concebido, porque a los tres meses y un día

ya no se puede matar porque ya es un ser humano. ¿Y un día antes

qué era?

No podemos negar que es difícil tener un hijo y acompañarlo

responsablemente a lo largo de su vida. Es más fácil negarse a la vida

y vivir centrados en el amor a sí mismos.

Pero cuando uno contempla, o vive como propia experiencia,

la felicidad de las familias con hijos entonces comprende las palabras

de Jesús de que quien recibe a un niño a él lo recibe. Con cada uno

de los hijos se hace presente Dios mismo en el hogar.

¿Quién será más feliz, la madre que ama a sus hijos o el

soltero que goza de su libertad?, ¿los abuelos que gozan de la

compañía de sus nietos o el anciano solitario que no tiene ni con quien

platicar?

Se necesitaron muchos años de insidiosa propaganda para

poder transformar una cultura milenaria que consideraba que la

felicidad consistía en casarse y tener muchos hijos. Hoy los hijos se

consideran una molestia… ¡hasta que se tienen!

Queridos papás, Dios les ha hecho un regalo en cada uno de

sus hijos y se ha hecho presente en su hogar en cada uno de ellos,

gocen a sus hijos y vivan agradecidos con Dios por haberlos recibido.

Que su convivencia con ellos sea gustosa y no obligada, que cada uno

de ellos sienta que es lo mejor que les ha pasado en su vida y que los

ame porque ustedes lo han amado sin condiciones.

FATHER ANDREW C. DACHAUER, S.J. Father Andrew C. Dachauer, S.J., died after a lengthy illness on Saturday, September 12, 2015, in Regis Infirmary at Sacred Heart Jesuit Center in Los Gatos, California. He was 85 years old. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on July 5, 1930, Andy entered the Society of Jesus at Sacred Heart Novitiate in Los Gatos on August 14, 1948. He pronounced final vows at St. Ignatius Church in San Francisco, California, on August 15, 1967. Father Dachauer served as Pastor of St. Joseph's Church in Mammoth Lakes from August 15, 1983 to August 16, 2010. May he rest in peace! Andy is survived by his brothers James and Paul Dachauer, his sisters Anne and Mary Dachauer, and his sister-in-law Marilyn Dachauer. REMEMBER HIS WORDS: Carolyn Balliet: His sermons would include: Live what you believe. Have joy in your life. A recent college graduate wanted to go to the service. 200 miles away, he was the only Priest I knew. Happiness can come and go, but joy sustains us throughout life. He would say ¨The mountains are high and the Bishop is far away¨. Once his Mother asked him a question about religion, right after his ordination. He began to answer, then she interrupted and said she would ask a ¨real Priest¨. Once when he came home from school with a good grade and told his Mother, waiting for a praise. She took him to a picture of the Sacred Heart ands said: ¨Thank Him!¨

FATHER ANDREW C. DACHAUER, S.J. El Padre Andrew C. Dachauer, S.J, murió después de una larga enfermedad el Sábado 12 de Septiembre 2015, in la enfermería Regis en el Centro Jesuita del Sagrado Corazón en Los Gatos, California. El tenia 85 años de edad. Nacido en Milwaukee, Wisconsin, el 5 de Julio de 1930. El Padre Andy ingresó a la Sociedad de Jesús en el Noviciado del Sagrado Corazón en Los Gatos, CA el 14 de Agosto de 1948. Profesó sus votos perpetuos en la Iglesia de San Ignacio en San Francisco, CA el 15 de Agosto de 1967.

El Padre Andy fungió como Párroco de la Iglesia de San José en Mammoth Lakes desde el 15 de Agosto de 1983 hasta el 16 de Agosto del 2010. ¡Que descanse en paz! Al Padre Andy le sobreviven sus hermanos James y Paul y sus hermanas Anne y Mary, además de su cuñada Marilyn Dachauer. RECORDEMOS SUS PALABRAS: Carolyn Baillet: Sus sermones incluían: Vive lo que crees. Ten alegría en tu vida. Un colega recién graduado quería ir al servicio. A 200 millas de distancia, el fue el único Sacerdote que conocí. La felicidad puede venir e irse, pero la alegría nos sostiene a través de la vida. El decía: ¨Las montañas son altas y el Obispo está lejos¨. Una vez, su Madre le hizo una pregunta sobre religión, luego de su ordenación. El le comenzó a responder y ella lo interrumpió y le dijo que mejor le preguntaría a un ¨Sacerdote de verdad¨. En una ocasión en que regresó de la escuela con una buena calificación y le dijo a su Madre, esperando una recompensa; ella lo llevó ante una imagen del Sagrado Corazón y le dijo ¨Dale las gracias a El¨.

Sínodo sobre la Familia Usted puede participar. El Sínodo mundial de Obispos se reunirá en el Vaticano del Octubre 4 al 25. El Tema será “La Vocación y misión de la familia en la Iglesia y en el mundo de hoy.” El Papa Francisco dijo que “Su oración por el Sínodo, que está dedicado a usted de forma especial, será un tesoro que enriquecerá a la Iglesia.”

MISION GUADALUPANA La Misión Guadalupana se está llevando a cabo en Nuestra Comunidad Parroquial, incluyendo Bridgeport y Lee Vining. Cada semana una nueva Familia recogerá el Cuadro de la Virgen Peregrina y la llevará a su casa donde todos los vecinos serán invitados para que participen del Santo Rosario y de los temas de Evangelización impartidos por un par de Misioneros que acompañarán a la Familia durante la Semana. Los Viernes, El Padre Jorge celebrará la Santa Misa en esa casa y habrá convivio. Esta Familia entregará la Imagen a otra nueva Familia que será acompañada durante la semana por otros misioneros. EL PAPA FRANCISCO EN AMERICA.- El Papa Francisco inicia el sábado 19 un histórico peregrinaje de 10 días por Cuba y Estados Unidos que finaliza el 28 de septiembre. En la isla, el tema de fondo será el embargo impuesto por Estados Unidos hace ya más de 50 años, y en Estados Unidos será la inmigración y el futuro de los 11.3 millones de indocumentados. Entre las actividades destacan la celebración de

una misa en la Plaza de la Revolución, y Washington, Nueva York y Filadelfia discursos en el Capitolio, ante el pleno de la ONU, un almuerzo con los pobres y la canonización del beato español Junípero Serra.

CANONIZACION DE FRAY JUNIPERO SERRA.- El 23 de Septiembre el Papa Francisco canonizará a Fray Junípero Serra, el incansable misionero fundador de tantas misiones en California.

MISSION OF GUADALUPE

The Guadalupe Mission is taking place in Our Community Parish, including Bridgeport and Lee Vining. Each week a new family will take with them the Pilgrim Image of the Virgin of Guadalupe and take it home, where all the neighbors will be invited to participate in the Rosary and taught the subjects of evangelization for a few missionaries to accompany the family during the week. On Friday’s, Father Jorge will celebrate Mass in that house and there will be fellowship. This family will deliver the image to a new family. It will be accompanied during the week by other missionaries. POPE FRANCIS IN AMERICA.-

Pope Francis arrives in Cuba on Saturday, where he will hold Mass and visit with President Raul Castro ahead of a five-day tour of four U.S. cities, a meeting with President Obama and a speech to a joint meeting of Congress. The canonization of Junipero Serra will be on September 23.
