Re: Integrated Waste Management Incorrect Reduction Claims

Dear Ms. Halsey:

Dannis Woliver Kelley represents several community college districts with Integrated Waste Management incorrect reduction claims currently pending before the Commission on State Mandates. ln reviewing the Commission's recent Workload Update, we noticed that the Commission may be considering the Integrated Waste Management incorrect reduction claim filed by the Citrus Community College District at its October 2016 or January 2017 meeting.

We believe that many of the claims for this program will raise common issues which will likely be addressed in the first decision iss'.Jed by the Commission. As Citrus Community College District is not one of the community college districts which we currently represent, we would request that the Commission first hear the incorrect reduction claim of another community college district so that the common issues can be fully briefed before the Commission finalizes the first decision on these claims.

For this reason, we would request that the Integrated Waste Management incorrect reduction claims of either the Long Beach Community College District or San Mateo County Community College District, both of which we represent, be considered prior to any other claims for this program. We believe this would allow for more efficient briefing and consideration of all of the Integrated Waste Management incorrect reduction claims.
