Reading Heroes Challenge reading incentive program launched. Students

developed 3 reading goals for themselves to achieve by October 8th.

Collaborative Center Lessons were done with 2nd grade on Regions of GA, 4th

Digital projects were supported with Ms. Biehl’s 4th grade students using

photography and narrative writing

Ms. Hicks and Ms. Saxon’s 2nd grade students began a graphic novel study that

kicked off in the media center and was supported by a guest speaker visit from

Chuck Cunningham, Assistant Principal at Colham Ferry Elementary and a local

cartoonist.

The media center enrichment cluster, Leader Librarians, began where a group of 12

students decided to survey the entire school on reading interests and use part of the

media center budget for buying student-chosen books.
