A Monthly Newsletter 2013 M Street, Belleville, KS SEPTEMBER 2013 issue, Pag

from the final days of summer,

September is my favorite month of the year. I love the excitement in the air as kids oall ages are getting back to school, and familiar routines. Dont get me wrong

vacations, and lazy unplanned days of summer, are funbut everyone loves routine. Bacpacks by the door and pens and pencils from homework on the table are comfortingsights to me.

It is not just the kids going back to school that excites me. Fall is the season to takstock of your own learning. Where are you in your life growth? What do you neeto work on this year? What questions are in your heart waiting for answers oconsideration? That is what fall is about, that is what it is to get back to routine fome. It is that sense of discovering things anew. That being a bit older and wiser now sowhat you learn will be deeper and reach further.

God is so good to give us spirits that yearn for wisdom and truth. I believe that Gocalls us to explore our faith, to find our path, to reach out in ways that are new andchallenging. Fall is the season that speaks those opportunities to us well.

Come to worship each week, find a place to serve in our church, join a Sunday Schooclass or a small group. Look for someone to connect with each week, say hello, write note to someone who is missing or needs encouragement, pick up the phone and check onsomeone, and especially invite someone to church each week. It is a season to learn newways, to challenge yourself.

God is so good. God is calling you to life, life abundant.

    Happy fall yall! pastor emily
