….. drumroll ….
The library is very proud to announceThe Reading Games! This newHunger Games inspired spin on ourreading program was started by some very creative students. As ofSeptember 28th, we have 21 teachers(member of the Capitol) and 71
students (members of one of sevendistricts) playing the game.
Stay tuned for announcements aboutprizes given to top readers (bothdistrict and individual) as well asrandom challenges.
A Total Of -> 117 classes for instructionand 42 using space
Instruction
Since August 25th, we …
- conducted orientation using Kahoot andscavenger hunts
- taught note taking strategies
- assisted classes in choosing books
- taught classes how to use DISCUS (socialstudies, sociology, Chinese, English)
- worked with classes on digital citizenship
- made bracelets and sand art

takes place fromSeptember 28th -October 2nd. Of course,the Loquacious Libraryusually celebrates it for
more than a week.

Welcome Mr. Means
The LoquaciousLibrary extends a big welcome to Mr.Means, our newassistant. Mr.Means graduatedfrom USC Union
(Go Gamecocks!) where he worked as anassistant in the library there. He also works part-time for Able South Carolina(http://www.able-sc.org ) where he is a young adult leader. Derrick enjoysplaying bongos at his church and is a band member of Highway 49.
