He admitted that it wasn’t easy at the beginning.

“It took a long time for me to start liking it,” Cody said. “You have to be very precise at what you do.”

Even so, he eventually felt inspired, and his favorite song he has learned is the “Super Smash Bros. Brawl” theme.

“You get what you put into it,” Cody said. “If you put a little bit into it, you’re not going to get much out of it.

“When people say, ‘That

looks really complicated,’ I’ll think, ‘No, it’s not that complicated,’” he continued. “If it’s something I don’t know, then I want to learn that.”

The boys’ instructor is An-drew Wingert, who teaches piano, guitar and composi-tion. Kyle described his teacher as “cool” and “fun-ny.”

“He’s very fun to talk to,” Cody added. “I feel like I can talk to him about a lot of stuff.”

Cody offered advice to those

who want to be successful students: “Don’t give up.”

“Just keep going,” he said. “It’s very fun. You’ll end up not wanting to let it go. And, also, it helps with stress. When you have a bad day, it helps you to play – lose yourself.”
