Pune conducted a Blood Donation

Camp at our college Campus on

12/09/2018.

In this camp total 65 bottles of blood

were collected. 50 students & teaching

as well as non-teaching staff

contributed in this noble cause.

arranged a Health check-up camp on -

st ,22

nd September 2018 (Three

days) at New English Medium School,

Shaniwar Peth Pune from 9am to 4 pm.

Worm infestations, Constipation,

Anaemia, Obesity and Malnutrition like

Major illness were identified. Treatment

like De-worming, Calcium Supplements,

regular Nutritious Diet to correct

anaemia, Yoga-aasanas (posture), Proper

diet for malnutrition and overweight

were suggested.

Vedant fashion show was held on 19th

September 2018 at B.J. Medical College Pune.

UG students of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of

Ayurved & Research Centre pimpri, Pune

participated in it and stood first “RUNNER-

UP” in the competition. The theme was

“BOUNDED BY LOVE” which included

poster about love irrespective of religion, age

and gender. The show was guided by student

council committee In-charge Dr. Sheeta

Rasane and cultural In-charge Dr. Jyotsna

Yadav. The show was coordinated by G.S.

Miss. Simran Shaikh, cultural secretary Miss

Rutuja Bhosure and Mr. Tushar Devkate. The

show was choreographed by Miss Surabhi

Nisal and Mr. Mahesh Kamble.

Dr. M. S. Kulkarni (Principal) granted

the permission and supported the team. Total

15thstudents from Dr. D. Y. Patil Ayurved

College participated in the show.

VEDANT FASHION SHOW

A Street Play Competition was jointly organized by

B. J. Medical College, Pune, Rebirth Foundation Pune & Film

& Television Institute of India; Pune on 24th

September,

2018.The motive of this competition was to increase

awareness of Organ Donation in society.

Information regarding the competition was conveyed

to Department of Rachana Sharir of Dr. D. Y. Patil College

of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune by the PSM

Department of B.J. Medical College, Pune.

The competition took place in the Mahatma Gandhi

Auditorium of B. J. Medical College, Pune and total 7 teams

participated in the same. Two teams were to be selected as

winners in the competition and would be getting a chance to

perform in Mumbai on 25th

September, 2018.

Fourth Year BAMS Students of Dr. D. Y. Patil

College of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune

participated in the competition.

Student Names – Prerna Nalode, Padmavati Gore, Seema K,

Sakshi Hadap, Pratiksha Hivare, Snehal Parab, Snehal

Chavan, Rutuja Khuspe, Mangesh Shinde, Somnath Nikam,

Rahul Kushwaha, Atharva Nigdikar, Kapil Gonde.The

students performed brilliantly in very short notice and their act

was appreciated by all. Even though our team was not selected

as winner, the sincere efforts and wonderful performance of

the students were applauded by all viewers.

Dr. Prajakta Indulkar (Reader, Department of Rachana

Sharir)& Dr. Yogesh Kutte (Lecturer, Department of

Rachana Sharir) coordinated with the organizers, guided &

accompanied the students for the event.

Dr. Medha Kulkarni (Principal) permitted applicable leave

to the students for participating in the event.

Simran Shaikh (G.S, 2018-19), Tushar Devkate, Rutuja

Bhosure (C.S, 2018-19), Dr. Sheetal Rasane (Incharge,

Student Council) & Dr. Jyotsana Yadav (Cultural

Incharge) assisted in deriving necessary permissions at

institute level.

‘STREET PLAY COMPETITION ON ‘ORGAN DONATION’

The Directorate of Ayush Maharashtra state organized a Maha Avayav

Daan Abhiyan 2018 to promote the awareness of organ donation in the society

as per the reference of letter Mahaavayavdaan-abhiyan-janjagruti/2018/Ayu-2.

As part of this Abhiyan, it was directed to conduct various activities on organ

donation on 25/09/2018 & 26/09/2018.

Hence the department of Rachana Sharir conducted an organ donation

rally on 25/09/2018 in collaboration with NSS unit on behalf of Dr. D. Y. Patil

Ayurved College & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune.

Around 200 students participated enthusiastically in the Rally with

various slogans & informative hoardings regarding organ donation aiming to

impart the knowledge on various aspects of organ donation to the society. The

participating students & faculties also solved many queries of common people

regarding organ donation during the Rally.

officer),Dr. Mangesh Udmale , Dr. R. R. Bawa ( Reader, Rachan Sharir), Dr. A.

Organ Donation Rally

150th

BIRTH ANNIVERSARY OF THE FATHER OF THE NATION,

MAHATMA GANDHI, A GLOBAL EVENT.

As per direction of Ministry of Human Resource

Development, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved &

Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune, organised one week

programme from 2nd

October 2018 to 8th October

2018 on the occasion of 150th

birth anniversary of the

Father of Nation, Mahatma Gandhi.

On this occasion Bhajan,Vaishnav Janato in

Hindi, Marathi & Sanskrit languages was conducted

by Dr.Ojada Pol and Miss. Aishvarya Deshpande

.100 students enthusiastically participated in this

programme. Principal Dr. Medha Kulkarni had

graced the programme by delivering inspirational

speech about Mahatma Gandhi. Debate competition

on footprint of Mahatma Gandhi‟s Life was

conducted. Total 05 students participated. Swachata

Abhiyan was conducted in MIDC area near college.

Total 32 students participated. Tree plantation

program was conducted at College Campus. Total 15

students participated. An Act play On Mahatma

Gandhi Life was conducted. Total 07 students

participated. In Sadbhavana rally, total 30students

participated. Dr. Shital Rasane (student council

Incharge) Dr. Jyotsna Yadav (cultural Incharge),

Waykole (cultural Incharge), Dr.Amar Kamble

(Sport Incharge) coordinated, guided and

accompanied the event. Miss. Simran Shaikh

(G.S.),Miss. Rutuja Bhosure(Cultural Secretary), Mr.

Tushar Devkate (Cultural secretary)took the efforts

for coordinating the Programme.

Principal Dr. M. S. Kulkarni granted the

permission and supported the team to make the event

successful.

The learning and teaching methodology of

Ayurved Samhita & its commentaries were well

explained on 24.10.2018 by the eminent speaker

Vedacharya Dr.Vinayak Garud. On the last day

25.10.2018 of the course the students were

blessed with the speech of Dr. Anant

Dharmadhikari .The whole programme was

successfully guided and conducted by advisor Dr.

Pandey, Principal Dr. Medha Kulkarni, Dr. Mrs.

Mrudula Joshi & Dr. Mrs. Ojada Pol .Dr. Rasane

, Dr. Nilesh Patil, Dr. Khade, Dr. Ashwini Patil

took the efforts for the successful organization of

the course.PG. Students, Dr. Shraddha, Dr.

Swapnil, Dr. Sanghmitra , Dr. Sayali also gave

their contribution for the entire course. Total 95

students & 10 teachers were benefited.

Vadatu Samskrutam Tatha Samhitayaha Avabodhanam”

Department of Samskruta Samhita Siddhanta, Dr

D. Y. Patil College of Ayurveda Pimpri, Pune,

organized “Vadatu Samkrutam” a special DPU

approved short term course of communication in

Sanskrit from 08.10.2018 to 25.10.2018.

Dr. Mrs. Ojada Pol conducted this course daily 2

hrs for 15 days. All the participants got the golden

opportunity to learn and interact in Sanskrit fluently.

This programme was inaugurated by Mr. Penore,

Communication head of the institute Sanskrit Bharati

on 08.10.2018.

Dharmadhikari gave his valuable guidance on

importance of study of Sanskrit in Ayurveda on

13.10.2018.

have successfully organized 6 days CME for

Teachers of Rasashastra Evam

Bhaishajyakalpana from 8th

Oct, 2018 to 13th

Oct, 2018. The CME was sponsored by

Ministry of AYUSH, Govt. of India, New

Delhi & Rashtriya Ayurved Vidyapeeth, and

New Delhi. Dr. Shriram Savarikar, Advisor for

AYUSH, Govt. of India inaugurated CME with

Lamp lightening and Lord Dhanvantari

Blessings.

Principal Dr. Medha Kulkarni welcomed all

resource person and delegates with her warm

covering theoretical as well as practical

approach of applied aspect of the subject.

Agadtantra Department of Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved &

Research Centre Pimpri, Pune, arranged educational visit at Rajiv Gandhi Snake

Park, Pune, on 12th

Oct 2018. Two faculty members (Dr. Thorat, Dr. Karanje)

and Total 98 IInd year

students and 3 P.G. students were present for this visit.

Guest lecture of Mr. Shirke also arranged there.

By this visit there was up gradation in knowledge of students about

identification of snakes and Difference between venomous and non venomous

snakes & various topics related to snakes.

‘DEEPOTSAV 2018’

On the occasion of Dhanvantari Jayanti, a

Deepostav was celebrated on 2nd

November 2018 at Dr.

D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved &Research Centre, Pimpri,

Pune.

It began with the „Dhanvantari Stavan‟ – By (Ist year) girls.

Mr.Tushar Devkate gave a speech on the occasion. Mr.

Shubham Lokhande explained the purpose of celebrating

this festival then the program continued by – Miss. Neha

Sonawne (Ist year) with a short speech and Mr. Chetna

Patil (Ist year) presented a short poetry.

The college was decorated with lanterns and Diya‟s as well

as Rangoli‟s which included „A lamp for the farmer‟ and

„a lamp for the Soldier‟. The entire program was handled

decently with the participation and co -operation of all the

students of the college. All teaching and non-teaching staff

attended the program.

Total 107 students participated. Dr. Shital Rasane (student

A guest lecture was organized by VISHAKHA Committee on 06.12.2018

at 11am. Lecture was delivered on the topic „Depression‟ by Dr. Anuradha

Harkare. Female teaching, Non-Teaching staff, students, workers were present.

Dr. Anuradha Harkare madam was felicitated by Dr. Jayshree V. Changade, In

charge of VISHAKHA Committee.

This lecture was helpful in spreading awareness about Depression, Its

causes, prevention & How to overcome it? There was a very good interaction

session. A Message was conveyed ‘Keep Positive Thinking’.

The Freshers and Farewell Party “ SHAM

SHANDAR” was organized by team

Yugantar on 19th

of December 2018 at

Season Banquets , Akurdi , Pune

The event was started with prayer

of lord Dhanvantari by our Advisor Dr. B.P

Pandey. All students of Dr. D.Y Patil

College of Ayurved , teaching staff and non

teaching staff were part of this event

The program was consisted of :

1) Flash mob

2) fresher‟s party

3) farewell party

4) DJ night

Mr. and Miss. Fresher were selected

from the fresher‟s batch by giving them

various tasks. The program proceeded with

the farewell party where every outgoing

student was gifted with a photo frame. The

programme ended with vote of thanks to

respected teachers by Tejas Badgujar and

Ashish Jadhav.

On 4th November, 2018, Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre

lost a very dear colleague, Dr. Prajakta Indulkar (Reader, Department of

Rachana Sharir) due to Chronic Illness. She was remembered by her colleagues

& friends as a very enthusiastic, hard working and positive personality, who

continued to serve the Institute irrespective of her health condition till the

end.

Dr. D. Y. Patil College of Ayurved & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune mourns for

the loss of this brave soul and pays sincere condolences to her family for their

loss. May her soul find peace!
