Gateway Financial Strategies - - Why is Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) important? The 2019 Life Insurance Barometer Study by Life Happens and LIMRA found that only 57% of Americans have life in-surance, and four in 10 households without it would imme-diately struggle to pay living expenses if their primary wage earner died. The risk to a family’s financial stability if they forgo life insurance is incredibly high, and yet there are still many Americans who are living without it, leaving them vul-nerable. That’s why September’s Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM) continues to be such an important event. This na-tional educational campaign, coordinated by the nonprofit organization Life Happens, is designed to get consumers to take stock of their life insurance needs and protect their loved ones with proper insurance planning. To learn more visit www.lifehappens.org. I’m happy to talk to you about your life insurance needs - - why you need it, the amount of coverage you need, and the right type of policy for you. Just give me a call. 763-271-0402.

August 26, 2019 Dear Monticello Chamber of Commerce, Thank you does not seem like enough to say to acknowledge the wonderful gift bags you delivered to Monticello schools. We are so grateful as a school district to have the tremendous support of the community. This year over 60 local businesses and community organizations donated items to welcome our new teaching staff. Last week, I spent two action packed days training our new teachers in preparation for the 2019-2020 school year. A major highlight of the training was passing out the welcome bags from the Chamber of Commerce. The new teachers were surprised to receive the bags that were overflowing with wonderful items donated by Chamber members. Following the first day of training, many of them went home to examine the contents of the gift bags and came back the second day so impressed and appreciative! I want to take this opportunity on behalf of the Monticello School Board and myself to thank you for your generosity in contributing items for the welcome bags. I believe that your collective donations sent a message to the new staff members that Monticello is a family community that supports its teachers and schools. We look forward to a great school year and again, we are so thankful and appreciative of your support! Sincerely, Dr. Barbara Wilson Director of Human Resources
