    Rescue Operation .Dewatering operation continued at 19x sites

    including 14x sites in DHA.

    25x teams with 25x pumps dedicated to address

    individual complainants of residents residential

    areas in coordination with Cantonment Board Clifton

    (CBC). 8,799x individuals evacuated (25 rescued in last 24

    hours).

    Underpasses on Drig Road, Mohsin Bhoppali, Goli Mar/ Sir Syed, KPT and Gizri have been cleared.

    Water lodging from DHA phases (1, 2, 2 Ext, 4, 5,

    5 Ext, 7 except lane 18 &19) and Community Avenue

    e. Sindh areas have been cleared.

    Work is in progress to clear water lodging from

    following locations:

    Nishat Community. Khayaban-e-Hilal.

    .Khayaban-e-Shahbaz & Shahbaz Community.

    .Khayaban-e-Seher (Phases 6 &7) & Seher Community.

    Popular Avenue. Khayaban-e-Rahat (Phases 6 & 7) &Rahat

    Community.

    Khayaban-e-Bukhari & Bukhari Community. DHA Phase 7 (Lanes 18 & 19).

    1x Water Bowzer ex Pak Rangers (Sindh) and 2x

    Water Bowzers ex Dawat-e-Islami are providing

    water at Sarjani town and surrounding.

    Tents and Tarpaulins distributed among flood

    affectees.

    Electricity in most areas has been restored

    550x bedded relief camp at Expo Centre has been

    established.

    Established 50x bedded hospital in SGD Surjani.

    32x Emergency Medical and 56x Relief Camps

    established in coordination with Civil Administration

    in various parts of Karachi.

    2x Advance Dressing Stations established at

    Qayyumabad and Sadi town to provide immediate

    emergency medical care (Total 3,327 patients

    examined).

    Army Mobile Recovery vehicles are deployed at

    various choke points to shift vehicles struck in flood

    to keep flow of traffic. Total 72x vehicles hauled using

    Integral Mobile Repair Teams/ Recovery vehicles

    AJ&K NTR . On 1 September 2020, following incidents due to heavy rains

    reported in Gilgit Baltistan:

    Flood at Chartoi Gupis, District Ghizer Gilgit Baltistan Flash flood reported at Chartoi area of Gupis. and

    washed away the road.

    Water level is high and traffic is suspended.

    Land Sliding at Hakis and near China Bridge Gupis, District Ghizer Floods triggered landsliding at Hakis & near China

    bridge at Gupis.

    Gupis road is blocked.

    .Machinery of B&R has been mobilised to start

    rehabilitation work.

    Flood at Thoi Yasin, District Ghizer .Flood/land sliding reported at Thoi Yasin.

    Road and bridge are damaged.

    Traffic is suspended. Machinery has been mobilized to carryout

    rehabilitation work.

    Flood at Damas Gahkuch, District Ghizer Flood reported at Damas Gahkuch where District Jail

    is also situated.

    .In case water diverts towards jail then prisoners will

    be to a safe location.

    The flood water has entered into houses and around

    50x houses have been affected.

    People shifted to safer places.

    Jaglote to Skardu road is blocked at Shengus due to

    landslide. Slide Clearance operation is in progress. Meal

    will also be served to travelers stuck due to road

    blockage.

    Threat to Next Likely Areas. Areas along River Kabul, River Indus and its tributaries. 4

    River Discharges. River Indus at Kalabagh and River Kabul at Nowshera are in Medium 5. Flood Level, River Indus at Tarbela, Chashma, Taunsa, Guddu & Sukkur and River Chenab at

    Trimmu are in Low Flood Level. Low to Medium Flood Level wave will continue in River Indus during

    the week. All other major rivers are at below low flood level. Details of river discharges is attached

    as Annex A.

    heavy falls is expected over the upper catchments of all the Major Rivers along with Rawalpindi

    Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sahiwal & Bahawalpur Divisions. Isolated wind-

    thunderstorm/ rain is expected over Peshawar, Kohat & D. I. Khan Divisions. Rainfall activity is

    likely to decrease significantly from 5 September 2020. Last 24 hours significant rainfall

    recorded is attached as Annex B.

    Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), PMD has informed on 1 September 2020 that

    according to latest Hydro-Meteorological conditions, River Indus at TARBELA

    is likely to attain MEDIUM Flood level on 2 September 2020.

    b. Flood Forecasting Division (FFD), PMD has informed on 31 August 2020 that

    according to Latest Hydro-Meteorological situation, Monsoon has become

    active over Punjab, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa & Kashmir producing widespread

    thunderstorm/rains. This weather system is likely to persist over the areas

    during next 48 hours (31 August 2020-2 September 2020) with High probability of Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall in the catchment areas of River Kabul & its

    Tributaries along with Hill Torrents of D. G. Khan Division which may cause

    Medium to High Flood situation.

    11. Warning / Alert. Keeping in view the higher water level in Mangla Reservoir (1,242.00 feet)

    Tarbela Dam (1.550 feet) and expected rains over the upper catchments of all the Major Rivers 11.
