FAITH FORMATION Sunday, September 22nd,2019

TWENTY-FIFTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME 3RD WEEK OF FAITH FORMATION

FAITH FORMATION FOR THE NEW SCHOOL YEAR 2019-2020. THIS IS THE 3rd WEEK OF FAITH FORMATION and if you haven’t REGISTERED YOUR CHILDREN yet please see the Deacon right away. JESUS is waiting for your child to begin learning about his church--NOW!

PARENTS AND KIDS – NEW RULES FOR DROPPING OFF AND PICKING UP CHILDREN FROM K THRU 5TH GRADE – For the safety of the kids of Kindergarten thru 5th grade, please BRING your children to the classrooms WHERE they have been assigned and pick them up there also. I know this is a change from years past, but the Teachers and I are forming a new policy for the KIDS ‘safety entering and being picked up from class. So, please be nice and understand the WHY. The safety of all the children of the parish who attend FAITH FORMATION is one of our biggest concerns.

THE KIDS FROM THE 6th THRU 8TH GRADE – This is the same policy as last year: Parents must drop their children OFF IN THE VESTIBULE of the PARISH CENTER and pick them up there. Also parents, no waiting in your car and waving your arms. NO, it doesn’t work that way. Any questions, come see me.

KIDS IN GRADES 6TH THRU 8TH – Do you have your USER-ID/PASSWORD? If you don’t go see your parents right now. This coming week, September 22nd is the 3rd week of class and you should have three weeks of homework completed by now. You should have at least 70% per on your test scores. Both your parents and I will be checking your time and scores each week to make sure you’re doing your part for learning about your Father in heaven. GOD BLESS.

8TH GRADE TEACHERS, PARENTS AND KIDS – MARK YOUR CALENDARS. A CONFIRMATION RETREAT/TRIP IS SCHEDULED FOR ST. CLEMENT’S ISLAND FOR SATURDAY, APRIL 4TH, 2020. (Rain date is Saturday, April 18th.) Father Rob Maro will be the main celebrant for Mass, and the Knights of Columbus will lead the group in the Living Rosary and serve a picnic lunch.

MARY’S GARDEN – I am looking for some nice people to lend some time in helping develop a new look in Mary’s garden and plant some new plants for ground cover. Also, we need some weed pullers and ground keepers. Please see Deacon. He’s getting old and needs HELP.

PARISH WEBSITE – Please visit the Parish Website @ www.ICChurchmd.org often to learn about Parish and Faith Formation events. The 2019/2020 calendar and registration information is now posted. If you have any questions, please contact me at 240-249-6010 or [email protected].

Deacon Bill Kyte, DRE

Lord, Here I am. I trust that you have an incredible plan for me. Transform me. Transform my life. Everything is on the table. Take what you want to take and give what you want to give. I make myself 100 percent available to you today. Transform me into the person you created me to be, so I can live the life you envisioned for me at the beginning of time. I hold noting back. I am 100 percent available. Lead me, challenge me, encourage me, and open my eyest to all your possibilities. Show me what it is you want me to do, and I will do it. Amen.
