On behalf of our ownership group and myself as head coach and general manager, I would like to welcome you to another exciting year of Grizzlies hockey! This past season brought its successes and challenges with the youngest group of players at the junior level, in all of B.C. This year will see half of last years team return to the Forum with a hunger for success.

Our program is one that will be accountable to the community; having players of strong character as role models in the community and upholding a high standard within the community. These young men will leave Revelstoke better people in large part because of your support and involvement with our program. It is our goal to move players on to Junior A, WHL, NCAA, ACAC and BCIHL opportunities. We are committed to icing a competitive team that will not be outworked.

I would like to thank our host billet families; which are known for providing

some of the best homes in the KIJHL. Thank you to our sponsors who keep junior hockey alive in Revelstoke, I would encourage you to support our local sponsors. I would also like to thank our numerous volunteers who make junior hockey in Revelstoke possible.

Finally a big thank you to our die hard local fans and those of you from Australia and numerous other countries who call Revelstoke home during the winter months, you enhance our program through your enthusiasm for our national sport.

MISSION STATEMENT

The Revelstoke Grizzlies Organization is dedicated to helping develop players who are interested in pursing opportunities in U.S. College Hockey, Canadian University, Major Junior, Junior A, European Pro or Semi Pro.

THE LEAGUE: The Kootenay International Junior Hockey League is a junior league that operates twenty teams in the central and southeast corner of British Columbia and one team in Washington State. It is a developmental league for players wishing to improve their skills and advance to a higher level. All games will be broadcast via the internet with audio and video. The league website is www.kijhl.ca.

THE REVELSTOKE FORUM: The Revelstoke Grizzlies play all their home games at the Revelstoke Forum. The arena has 700 seats and room for approximately 400 standing room tickets for a total of approximately 1,100 fans. The Grizzlies have their own dressing room, with a trainer’s room located in the same area for the players. The Forum is known to all that have played there as one of the most intimidating places for the opposition to play as the fans are right on top of you and are very vocal for their home team.

The Revelstoke Grizzlies organization has a very proud winning tradition which includes �ifteen (15) Division Semi Final appearances, nine (9) Conference Final appearances, four (4) League Final appearances, two (2) KIJHL League Titles, two (2) Provincial Tournament Semi Final appearances, one Provincial Championship and one (1) Western Canadian Championship.
