Prisvojni pridevi u srpskom = Possessive Adjectives in Serbian
Link ka video lekciji o prisvojnim pridevima = Link to the video lesson about Possessive
Adjectives
Possessive adjectives explained
Possessive adjectives in Serbian being adjectives take on endings to agree in number, grammar gender and
case with the corresponding noun. That is why you will come across slightly different forms of them,
depending on the noun they describe. Luckily, most of them "rhyme" with the noun. For example:
Ovo je mojA kućA. (sg. fem.)
Ovo su mojE kućE. (pl. fem.)
Ovo je njegovA ženA.
30 Serbian 101 via www.SkolaSrpskog.com by Marina Petrović
Ovo su njeni automobili. (pl. masc.)
Daj mi njihovu vodu. (sg. fem. accusative)
POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES = prisvojni pridevi
------------------------ Singular
● Moj = my
● Tvoj = your
● Njegov = his, its
● Njen = her
------------------------- Plural
● Naš = our
● Vaš = your
● Njihov = their
Let’s see how MOJ = MY has different endings depending on the noun it describes.
1. Ovo je moj predsednik. Ovo je mojA knjigA. Ovo je mojE detE.
2. Ovo je tvoj predsednik. Ovo je tvojA knjigA. Ovo je tvojE detE.
3. Ovo njegov predsednik. Ovo je njegova zastava. Ovo je njegovO kučE.
4. Ovo je njen mikrofon. Hari Poter je njena knjiga. Ovo je njenO selO.

● Voda
● Kafa
Which are Fem. Sg. , after the verbs like VOLIM / DORUČKUJEM / RUČAM / VEČERAM the
