FADN in Serbia• In Serbia the basis for the development of the FADN was

established in 2011, when the EU funded project “Establishment of the Serbian Farm Accountancy Data Network” has been started implementing in Serbia.

• The first data were collected in 2011 from 40 agricultural holdings. In 2012 the data were collected from 172 agricultural holdings, in 2013 the data were collected from 497 agricultural holdings and in 2014 the data from 989 agricultural holdings were collected.

• It is the estimate of the MAEP that the final FADN sample in Serbia will include around 2000 farms.

Introduction• According to the data of the agricultural census carried out by

Statistical Office of the Republic of Serbia in 2012 there were 631 552 agricultural holdings in Serbia.

• 203 665 holdings exceed the threshold of the economic size of €4000 and these holdings form the field of survey of the Serbian FADN.

• There are 943 holdings in the 2014 sample which exceeded the threshold of 4000 € and they represents a population of 203 665 farms in Serbia.

• All results calculated for Serbia is weighted average per holding and represents the situation in the Serbian agricultural sector as a whole.
